How to Get Visa Sponsorship in UKG H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target UKG's core technical teams
UKG's H-1B sponsorship concentrates in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, data science, and product management. Focusing your application on these teams gives you the strongest chance of landing a role that qualifies for sponsorship.
Confirm sponsorship before applying
Not every UKG job listing explicitly mentions H-1B sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified H-1B sponsors and surface UKG roles with a real sponsorship history before investing time in an application.
Understand UKG's H-1B petition timeline
UKG works with immigration counsel to file H-1B petitions on your behalf. Expect the process to take several months from offer acceptance to approval, with timing tied to the USCIS annual lottery cycle in April.
Leverage UKG's HR technology expertise in interviews
UKG builds workforce management and HCM software. Demonstrating familiarity with their product ecosystem, including UKG Pro and UKG Ready, signals genuine interest and strengthens your case as a specialized candidate worth sponsoring.
Ask about sponsorship during the offer stage, not earlier
Raising H-1B sponsorship too early in interviews can raise concerns. Wait until you have an offer or the recruiter brings it up, then confirm the company's process and which immigration firm they use.
Align your degree field with the role description
H-1B approval requires the job to qualify as a specialty occupation. At UKG, that means your degree field needs a direct connection to the role, whether software engineering, computer science, data analytics, or a related technical discipline.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does UKG sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, UKG sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles, primarily in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, data science, and product development. Sponsorship is not automatic for every open position, so it is worth confirming with the recruiter during the hiring process that a specific role is eligible.
Which departments at UKG are most likely to offer H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at UKG is most common in technical departments, including software engineering, platform and cloud engineering, data science, machine learning, and product management. Roles in HR technology consulting may also qualify depending on the degree requirement listed in the job description.
How do I apply for a job at UKG as an H-1B visa candidate?
Apply through UKG's careers portal and indicate your visa status when prompted. Once you receive an offer, UKG's HR and legal teams will initiate the H-1B petition process through their designated immigration counsel. Migrate Mate can help you identify verified H-1B-sponsoring roles at UKG before you apply.
How long does UKG's H-1B sponsorship process take?
The timeline depends on the USCIS lottery and processing cycle. For cap-subject H-1B petitions, UKG must file in April for an October 1 start date, meaning the full process from offer to authorized work can span six months or more. Premium processing can accelerate USCIS adjudication once the petition is filed.
What can I do to improve my chances of H-1B sponsorship at UKG?
Focus on roles where your degree field directly matches the job requirements, since that connection is what makes a position qualify as a specialty occupation under H-1B rules. Demonstrating deep expertise in the specific technology or domain UKG is hiring for reduces employer hesitation about taking on sponsorship costs and paperwork.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at UKG?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
