Job Roles at Vertiv
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Vertiv H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target engineering and technical roles
Vertiv's H-1B sponsorship is concentrated in roles requiring specialized technical degrees, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software development, and power systems. Focus your applications on positions where your field-specific degree directly matches the job requirements.
Highlight domain expertise in your application
Vertiv operates in a highly specialized manufacturing niche, thermal management, power distribution, and IT infrastructure. Candidates who demonstrate deep expertise in these verticals are stronger H-1B sponsorship candidates than generalists with broad but shallow technical backgrounds.
Use verified sponsorship data when searching
Not every Vertiv job posting will mention visa sponsorship explicitly. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on roles where Vertiv has actually sponsored H-1B candidates in relevant departments.
Engage the recruiter directly about sponsorship
Ask about H-1B sponsorship early in the process, ideally after a first-round interview confirms mutual interest. Vertiv's recruiters are experienced with the process, and raising it professionally signals preparation rather than uncertainty about your eligibility or timeline.
Align your role to a clear specialty occupation case
For H-1B approval, USCIS must classify your role as a specialty occupation requiring a specific degree. At Vertiv, roles in power engineering, thermal systems, and controls typically meet this standard more clearly than generalist operations or business roles.

Does Vertiv sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Vertiv sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles, particularly in engineering, technical operations, and software development. The company has an established track record of sponsoring international employees in its manufacturing and digital infrastructure divisions. Sponsorship is generally available for roles that meet the USCIS specialty occupation standard.
Which roles and departments at Vertiv typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Vertiv is most common in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering, controls and automation, and power systems roles. Research and development, product management, and technical sales engineering positions also see sponsorship. Roles in general operations or non-technical functions are less likely to qualify as specialty occupations for H-1B purposes.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Vertiv?
Once Vertiv extends an offer, their HR and legal teams initiate the H-1B petition process, which includes filing a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor before submitting Form I-129 to USCIS. Vertiv typically works with an immigration law firm to manage the process. Your role is to provide documentation confirming your qualifications and degree credentials promptly.
How do I find H-1B-sponsored job openings at Vertiv?
Search Vertiv's careers page directly, filtering for engineering and technical roles aligned with your degree. Migrate Mate lists verified H-1B sponsors and helps you identify which positions at companies like Vertiv are realistic sponsorship opportunities based on actual filing history, saving you time compared to applying broadly without knowing sponsorship likelihood.
What is the typical H-1B sponsorship timeline at Vertiv?
The H-1B cap lottery opens in March, with petitions filed in April for an October 1 start date. If selected, USCIS adjudication typically takes three to five months for standard processing. Candidates on F-1 OPT may be able to start sooner if their OPT remains valid during adjudication. Discuss your specific timeline with Vertiv's HR team before accepting an offer.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Vertiv?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
