Align your credentials before applying
Vetcor hires veterinarians who hold or are pursuing AVMA-accredited degrees. Before targeting their clinics, confirm your foreign veterinary credential has been evaluated for U.S. equivalency, since your employer's legal team will need this documentation to support the H-1B specialty occupation argument.
Target Vetcor locations by staffing gaps
Vetcor operates hundreds of independently branded clinics, and sponsorship decisions are often driven by how urgently a specific location needs clinical staff. Search Migrate Mate to identify which Vetcor-affiliated practices have active H-1B hiring history and focus your outreach there first.
Verify your role qualifies as specialty occupation
H-1B eligibility turns on whether your position requires at least a bachelor's-level degree in a directly related field. For veterinary roles at Vetcor, use O*NET to confirm the occupation's education requirements, then make sure your job offer letter reflects degree-specific language USCIS expects to see.
Confirm Vetcor's E-Verify enrollment before negotiating
All H-1B employers must use E-Verify, but confirming enrollment before you accept an offer protects you from filing delays. Ask the hiring manager or HR contact directly, since individual Vetcor clinics sometimes operate under different legal entities with their own E-Verify registrations.
Build your offer letter around prevailing wage requirements
DOL requires your salary to meet the prevailing wage for your role and location before USCIS will approve an H-1B petition. Run the OFLC Wage Search using your specific job title and clinic's county to know the minimum wage tier your offer must clear before you sign anything.
File for premium processing if your start date is fixed
USCIS offers premium processing that reduces adjudication to 15 business days, which matters if your clinical start date is tied to credentialing timelines or a specific practice's hiring window. Ask Vetcor's HR team early whether they'll cover the premium processing fee or expect you to absorb it.
Vetcor H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Vetcor sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Vetcor sponsors H-1B visas for qualified veterinary professionals. Sponsorship is most common for licensed veterinarians filling clinical roles at its network of animal hospitals. Because individual clinics may operate under separate legal entities, sponsorship availability can vary by location, so confirming directly with each practice's hiring contact is essential before advancing in the process.
Which roles at Vetcor are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Vetcor is concentrated in licensed veterinarian positions, particularly associate veterinarian and specialty veterinarian roles where a professional degree is a non-negotiable requirement. Support roles such as veterinary technicians are generally not H-1B eligible because USCIS requires the position to demand at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field.
How do I find which Vetcor clinics have sponsored H-1B visas before?
Migrate Mate surfaces verified H-1B Labor Condition Application filing history by employer and location, so you can see which Vetcor-affiliated practices have an active sponsorship track record. Focusing your application on clinics with prior LCA filings significantly increases the likelihood that the practice already understands the H-1B process and is willing to sponsor again.
How do I start the H-1B process after receiving a job offer from Vetcor?
Once you have a written offer, Vetcor's HR or legal team files a Labor Condition Application with DOL first, then submits an I-129 petition to USCIS during the annual H-1B cap registration window in March. If your occupation is cap-exempt, the petition can be filed year-round. The process requires your degree certificates, job offer letter, and prevailing wage documentation.
How long does H-1B sponsorship take at Vetcor?
Standard USCIS adjudication for an H-1B petition typically runs several months after the cap registration lottery in April, meaning most cap-subject candidates cannot begin work before October 1 of the same year. Vetcor may offer premium processing to speed adjudication to 15 business days, though this does not move the October 1 cap employment start date for new petitions.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Vetcor?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
