Job Roles at Zayo Group
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Zayo Group H-1B Visa Sponsorship Jobs USA
Target technical and engineering roles
Zayo's H-1B sponsorships are concentrated in network engineering, software development, and infrastructure roles. Focus your applications on positions requiring specialized technical expertise, where sponsorship is more commonly extended to qualified candidates.
Understand Zayo's sponsorship selectivity
Zayo sponsors H-1B visas on a case-by-case basis rather than at high volume. Position yourself as a specialist in fiber networking, cloud connectivity, or enterprise technology to make a compelling case for sponsorship consideration.
Initiate the sponsorship conversation early
Don't wait until an offer is made to raise H-1B sponsorship. Bring it up respectfully during later interview rounds so Zayo's HR team can assess feasibility before extending an offer, avoiding surprises for both sides.
Search for verified H-1B sponsors strategically
Use Migrate Mate to filter for companies with confirmed H-1B sponsorship history in the technology sector. Verified sponsorship data helps you focus on employers like Zayo where sponsorship is a documented practice, not just a possibility.
Align your background with Zayo's core business
Zayo operates fiber and cloud infrastructure across North America and Europe. Candidates whose experience directly touches bandwidth infrastructure, network operations, or enterprise connectivity software are most likely to clear Zayo's internal sponsorship review process.
Prepare for the H-1B timeline before your offer
H-1B petitions are tied to USCIS filing deadlines and the annual lottery. Know where you stand in your current visa status, and communicate your timeline clearly to Zayo's recruiter so the company can plan its petition filing accordingly.

Does Zayo Group sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Zayo Group does sponsor H-1B visas. Sponsorship is selective and generally reserved for specialized roles in technology, network engineering, and infrastructure operations. Candidates with skills directly relevant to Zayo's fiber and cloud connectivity business are best positioned to receive sponsorship consideration during the hiring process.
Which roles and departments at Zayo Group are most likely to receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Zayo is most commonly associated with technical roles in network engineering, software development, systems architecture, and IT infrastructure. Roles that require a specific degree in a technical field and involve specialized knowledge of fiber networks, cloud platforms, or enterprise connectivity solutions are the strongest candidates for sponsorship.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Zayo Group?
Once Zayo extends an offer and confirms sponsorship, the company works with an immigration attorney to file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor, followed by an H-1B petition with USCIS. Your role is to provide documentation of your qualifications. The process requires close coordination with Zayo's HR and legal teams from offer acceptance onward.
How do I find open H-1B jobs at Zayo Group?
Migrate Mate surfaces verified H-1B sponsors so you can filter job listings by confirmed sponsorship history, including companies like Zayo Group. Searching through a platform that tracks actual sponsorship activity is more reliable than filtering generic job boards, where sponsorship details are often absent or unverified.
What timeline should I expect for H-1B sponsorship at Zayo Group?
The H-1B process is tied to the federal fiscal year. USCIS opens registration in March, conducts the lottery shortly after, and cap-subject petitions can be filed from April 1 for an October 1 start date. If you're already on an H-1B or OPT, the timeline may differ. Plan to discuss your visa situation with Zayo recruiters early in the process.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Zayo Group?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
