Target engineering and cloud security roles
Zscaler's H-1B sponsorships concentrate heavily in software engineering, cloud architecture, and cybersecurity. Focusing your application on these technical functions gives you the best chance of landing a role where sponsorship is a standard part of the hiring process.
Confirm sponsorship intent early in conversations
Zscaler recruiters are experienced with H-1B hires, but sponsorship eligibility still varies by role and team. Ask directly during the initial recruiter screen whether the specific position supports H-1B sponsorship before investing time in later interview rounds.
Use a verified job board to find open roles
Not every job listing from Zscaler explicitly states H-1B eligibility. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship isn't actually available.
Understand the H-1B cap lottery timing
Zscaler typically works within the annual H-1B cap cycle. If you're not cap-exempt, your start date depends on the April lottery. Aligning your job search to begin well before the March registration window gives you and the employer enough runway.
Highlight domain expertise in cybersecurity or cloud
Zscaler operates in a specialized industry where niche technical skills carry real weight. Demonstrating hands-on experience with zero-trust architecture, network security, or cloud platforms strengthens your case for a role where Zscaler is willing to initiate H-1B sponsorship.
Prepare your documentation before an offer is extended
H-1B petitions at Technology & Software companies like Zscaler move quickly once an offer is made. Having your degree transcripts, employment history, and prior visa documentation organized in advance helps your employer's immigration counsel file without delays.
Zscaler H-1B Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Zscaler sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Zscaler sponsors H-1B visas. The company has a consistent history of petitioning for H-1B workers, primarily in technical and engineering roles. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific position and team, so confirming with the recruiter during your initial conversation is the most reliable approach.
Which roles and departments at Zscaler typically receive H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship at Zscaler is most common in software engineering, cloud security, product management, and data science. These roles align with the specialty occupation standard the H-1B requires. Sales and support positions are sponsored less frequently, though exceptions exist depending on the technical nature of the role.
How do I navigate the H-1B application process at Zscaler?
Once Zscaler extends an offer to an H-1B candidate, the company works with an external immigration law firm to file the petition. Your role is to supply supporting documents, including degree transcripts and employment history. Zscaler's HR and legal teams guide you through each step, but the process runs on USCIS timelines outside the company's control.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at Zscaler?
For cap-subject H-1B petitions, the timeline is tied to the annual lottery cycle. Registration opens in March, and approved petitions have an October 1 start date, meaning the process takes roughly six months from registration to employment. Premium processing, which Zscaler may elect to use, can reduce USCIS adjudication time significantly once the petition is filed.
How do I find H-1B jobs at Zscaler as an international candidate?
Searching Zscaler's careers page is a starting point, but listings rarely specify H-1B eligibility. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for Zscaler roles with verified H-1B sponsorship history, so you're not guessing which positions are realistic. Reaching out to Zscaler's university recruiting or technical recruiting teams directly can also surface opportunities not widely advertised.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B jobs at Zscaler?
H-1B employers must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is determined when they file the Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor. The rate is based on the role, location, and experience level, and ensures international hires are paid comparably to U.S. workers in the same position. You can look up prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
