Align Your Credentials to Texas Standards
Harmony Public Schools operates primarily in Texas, so confirm your teaching credentials or degree equivalency meets Texas Education Agency requirements before applying. Foreign degree evaluations from a NACES-approved agency strengthen your application considerably.
Target Subject Areas with Persistent Shortages
Harmony consistently recruits Instructors in STEM subjects, bilingual education, and special education. Applying for roles in these shortage areas improves your chances of sponsorship because the labor market justification for PERM or H-1B is easier for the employer to document.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Instructor Roles
Searching broadly wastes time when you need a sponsor. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Harmony Public Schools Instructor openings that include visa sponsorship, so you're only applying where your immigration needs are already accounted for.
Prepare Your TN Documentation If Canadian or Mexican
TN status for Instructors requires proof that your role meets the treaty's teacher category and that you hold the required qualifications. Bring your degree certificate, a detailed employer offer letter, and your credential evaluation to the port of entry.

Find Instructor at Harmony Public Schools JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Harmony Public Schools sponsor H-1B visas for Instructors?
Yes, Harmony Public Schools sponsors H-1B visas for Instructor roles. As a large public charter school network, Harmony is an established H-1B petitioner and can file both cap-subject and, in some cases, cap-exempt petitions depending on the campus. You'll want to confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiting team during the interview process, since not every campus location files independently.
Which visa types does Harmony Public Schools commonly use for Instructor roles?
Harmony sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for Instructor positions, but also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for recent graduates, TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals who meet the treaty teacher category, and Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term hires. The right visa type depends on your nationality, current status, and career stage.
What qualifications does Harmony Public Schools expect for Instructor positions?
Harmony typically requires a bachelor's degree in the subject area you'll be teaching, along with a valid Texas teaching certificate or eligibility to obtain one. STEM, bilingual, and special education Instructors are in especially high demand. If your degree is from outside the U.S., a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency is usually required before your application is reviewed.
How do I apply for Instructor jobs at Harmony Public Schools?
You can browse and apply for Instructor openings at Harmony Public Schools directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship availability so you're not wasting time on positions that don't fit your situation. Harmony posts openings on a rolling basis throughout the year, with the highest volume appearing in the spring ahead of the next school year.
How do I time my application to account for visa processing at Harmony Public Schools?
If you need H-1B sponsorship, the cap-subject filing window opens in March for an October 1 start date, so you'll want an offer finalized well before then. For OPT candidates, build in time for USCIS to process the H-1B before your authorized period expires. PERM-based Green Card cases are best initiated within your first year of employment given the multi-year timeline involved.
