Job Title: Visiting Instructor in Criminal Justice
Job Summary
The Department of Criminal Justice at Purdue University Fort Wayne invites applications for a Visiting Instructor in Criminal Justice position beginning August 2026. This is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track appointment with a 4/4 teaching load. The Department
The Department of Criminal Justice, housed in the College of Liberal Arts, is one of the largest departments in the college, with approximately 150 undergraduate majors. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Minor in Criminal Justice for non-majors, and a Minor in Forensic Investigations open to students across the university. The curriculum examines the criminal justice system, including law enforcement, courts, and corrections, while addressing contemporary issues in crime and justice policy. The program prepares students for careers in criminal justice and public service, as well as for graduate study and law school.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, or a closely related field. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. Preferred qualifications include university-level teaching experience, particularly at the undergraduate level, and professional or applied experience in the criminal justice field.
