Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Trainer Jobs at Hertz Jobs
Frame your credentials around fleet operations training
Hertz Trainer roles center on vehicle operations, customer service protocols, and compliance procedures. Tailor your resume and any certifications to reflect experience in high-turnover, process-driven environments, since that directly maps to what Hertz trains its frontline staff on.
Target locations with dedicated training infrastructure
Hertz concentrates Trainer hiring at airport hubs and large metro locations with structured onboarding pipelines. Prioritizing applications at these sites improves your odds, since smaller branch locations rarely carry the staffing volume that justifies a sponsored Trainer hire.
Verify your visa type fits the role before applying
Hertz has sponsored H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT holders for Trainer positions. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility before your initial OPT expires, since training roles don't always sit under STEM-designated SOC codes and that distinction affects your runway.
Ask HR specifically about PERM sponsorship timelines
If your goal is a Green Card pathway, ask the recruiter directly whether the Trainer role has been filed under PERM before or whether the position supports EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship. Hertz has used both categories, but not every Trainer position qualifies automatically.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Hertz Trainer openings by visa type
Searching Hertz's general careers page won't tell you which Trainer roles have active sponsorship support. Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically by visa type so you only spend time on positions where Hertz has indicated willingness to sponsor.
Align your offer negotiation with USCIS prevailing wage requirements
Once you reach the offer stage, request that the salary offered meets or exceeds the DOL prevailing wage for the Trainer role in that location. Hertz's HR teams are familiar with this requirement, and raising it early prevents delays in the LCA filing process.

Find Trainer at Hertz JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Hertz sponsor H-1B visas for Trainers?
Yes, Hertz has sponsored H-1B visas for Trainer roles. The H-1B requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, so your application will be stronger if the role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field such as instructional design, organizational development, or business. Hertz's HR team handles the I-129 petition filing through USCIS once an offer is extended.
How do I apply for Trainer jobs at Hertz?
You can apply directly through Hertz's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which surfaces Hertz Trainer openings filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, highlight any experience training staff in high-volume, customer-facing operations. Hertz Trainer roles often involve onboarding large cohorts of frontline employees, so demonstrating that background improves your chances of moving through screening.
Which visa types does Hertz commonly use for Trainer positions?
Hertz has sponsored Trainer roles under H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. F-1 OPT candidates should confirm their authorized period covers the full onboarding timeline, since Hertz's training programs can span several months before a sponsorship petition is filed.
What qualifications does Hertz expect for a sponsored Trainer role?
Hertz Trainer roles typically require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field alongside demonstrated experience designing or delivering training programs in a service or operations environment. Familiarity with learning management systems and the ability to train non-technical staff on compliance and customer service procedures are commonly cited. Candidates with backgrounds in hospitality, logistics, or fleet operations tend to align well with what Hertz needs.
How do I handle the timing between my visa status and the Hertz hiring process?
Hertz's hiring process for Trainer roles can take several weeks from application to offer. If you're on OPT, factor in the USCIS cap-gap rule, which extends your work authorization if your H-1B petition is filed before your OPT expires and the lottery selects your registration. Communicate your status timeline clearly during the offer stage so Hertz HR can align the LCA filing and I-129 submission with USCIS deadlines.
