Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Software Engineer Jobs at Holtec International Jobs
Align your skills with Holtec's core domains
Holtec's software work spans nuclear plant simulations, digital instrumentation, and engineering analysis tools. Highlighting experience with safety-critical systems, scientific computing, or regulatory-compliant software development positions you ahead of generalist candidates.
Clarify your visa status early in conversations
Holtec works across government-adjacent and nuclear sectors where security and compliance matter. Raising your sponsorship needs before a technical interview, not after an offer, gives both sides time to confirm eligibility and prevents late-stage delays.
Understand how H-1B timing affects your start date
H-1B cap filings open each April for an October 1 start date. If Holtec extends an offer outside that window, discuss cap-exempt options or a delayed start to avoid a gap in your authorized work period.
Research Holtec's Labor Condition Applications through DOL records
DOL's public LCA disclosure data shows which job titles and locations Holtec has filed for previously. Searching for Software Engineer filings tells you which offices are active, what prevailing wage tiers apply, and whether your target role has a sponsorship history.
Use Migrate Mate to surface Holtec's open Software Engineer roles
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa sponsorship type, so you can find Software Engineer openings at Holtec that explicitly support H-1B or Green Card candidates, saving you from applying to roles where sponsorship is unlikely.

Find Software Engineer at Holtec International JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Holtec International sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, Holtec International sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineers. The company operates in specialized engineering and nuclear technology sectors where qualified international candidates are actively recruited. H-1B sponsorship typically requires your role to meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field like computer science or software engineering is the normal minimum.
Which visa types are commonly used for Software Engineer roles at Holtec International?
Software Engineers at Holtec commonly come through the H-1B, F-1 OPT, and TN pathways. Canadian and Mexican nationals in software roles often use TN status, which has no lottery and can be obtained at the border. For longer-term sponsorship, Holtec also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process with the DOL.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Holtec International?
You can find and apply for Software Engineer openings at Holtec International through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship support before applying. Holtec posts roles across its nuclear, energy, and technology divisions, and applications typically involve submitting a resume, technical screening, and one or more engineering interviews focused on your domain expertise.
What qualifications does Holtec International expect from Software Engineer candidates?
Holtec's software engineering work tends toward technically demanding domains, including simulation software, plant control systems, and engineering analysis tools. A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field is the standard baseline. Candidates with experience in safety-critical systems, C++ or Python for scientific applications, or regulatory environments tend to be more competitive for sponsorship-supported roles.
How do I navigate the visa filing timeline after receiving a Software Engineer offer from Holtec?
If your offer leads to an H-1B filing, Holtec's HR or legal team will coordinate the USCIS petition, including the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL. The H-1B cap lottery runs each April for an October 1 start, so timing your offer accordingly matters. If you're on F-1 OPT, you can begin work before the H-1B is approved as long as your OPT authorization remains valid and your employer files under the cap-gap provision.
