Align your credentials with nuclear manufacturing standards
Holtec's Manufacturing roles require documented proficiency in ASME code compliance, pressure vessel fabrication, or nuclear-grade welding certifications. Gather your credentials and have foreign qualifications evaluated by a NACES-member credential evaluation service before you apply.
Target roles matching your specific visa category
Holtec sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT, but not every Manufacturing opening maps cleanly to each category. Specialty occupation requirements under H-1B demand a direct link between your degree field and the specific role, so match your application to positions where that connection is explicit.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Manufacturing roles
Holtec posts Manufacturing openings across facilities in Camden and other sites. Use Migrate Mate to browse and filter current Manufacturing positions at Holtec International by visa type, so you're only pursuing roles where sponsorship aligns with your status.
Raise sponsorship early in your conversation
Holtec's hiring teams work with legal counsel on visa filings, but timelines for H-1B cap-subject petitions require employer action months before your start date. Confirm sponsorship eligibility and your proposed start date with the recruiter before investing time in technical interviews.
Account for OPT timing in your application window
If you're on F-1 OPT, your 12-month standard window and any STEM extension period must overlap with Holtec's onboarding timeline. Engineering and manufacturing-aligned STEM OPT extensions are available for qualifying degrees, but your employer must be enrolled in E-Verify, which Holtec participates in.

Find Manufacturing at Holtec International JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Holtec International sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, Holtec International sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Manufacturing positions. The role must meet USCIS specialty occupation standards, meaning it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Manufacturing roles tied to nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, or materials science typically satisfy this requirement, while general production or assembly roles may face more scrutiny.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Holtec International?
Applications go through Holtec's careers portal, where Manufacturing roles are listed by facility and function. Tailor your resume to emphasize ASME code experience, nuclear fabrication, or precision manufacturing skills relevant to the specific posting. You can also browse current Holtec Manufacturing openings filtered by visa sponsorship availability on Migrate Mate before applying directly.
Which visa types does Holtec International commonly use for Manufacturing professionals?
Holtec sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation Manufacturing roles, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering positions, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students in manufacturing-related degree programs. For longer-term employment, Holtec also pursues EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through the DOL PERM process for permanent Manufacturing hires.
What qualifications does Holtec International expect for Manufacturing roles?
Holtec's Manufacturing positions typically require backgrounds in nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, welding engineering, or industrial manufacturing. Familiarity with ASME codes, pressure vessel standards, or nuclear quality assurance programs is frequently listed. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must correspond directly to the job duties, so roles requiring specialized nuclear or heavy industrial expertise are stronger H-1B candidates than generalist production positions.
How do I time my application given H-1B cap and processing deadlines?
The H-1B cap lottery registration opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date for selected petitions. If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, you and your Holtec recruiter must align on an offer well before March to allow time for USCIS petition preparation. Cap-exempt pathways are not available for standard Manufacturing roles, so missing the annual cycle means waiting a full year.
