Align Your Credentials With PE Licensure Expectations
HR Green's engineering work often involves stamped deliverables, so having an EIT certification or active PE licensure on your resume signals readiness. If your credentials are foreign, get them evaluated by NACES-approved evaluators before applying.
Target Project Types HR Green Actively Staffs
HR Green regularly hires for transportation, water, and municipal infrastructure projects. Tailoring your portfolio to show direct experience in these verticals increases your relevance to hiring managers reviewing engineering candidates for active project pipelines.
Clarify Sponsorship Willingness Before the Offer Stage
Consulting firms sometimes limit sponsorship decisions by project funding or client contract requirements. Raise your visa status early in recruiter conversations so HR Green can assess project fit alongside sponsorship feasibility before extending an offer.

Does HR Green sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, HR Green sponsors H-1B visas for engineering roles. As a consulting firm with recurring technical hiring needs, they have experience navigating the H-1B process for qualified candidates. If you're on F-1 OPT or a prior H-1B, discuss timing with their HR team early, since cap-subject filings follow a strict annual cycle with an October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at HR Green?
You can browse and apply for HR Green's engineering openings directly through their careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm eligibility before applying. When applying, highlight relevant project experience in transportation, water, or municipal infrastructure, and address your visa status clearly in recruiter outreach to avoid delays later in the process.
Which visa types does HR Green commonly use for Engineering roles?
HR Green sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for engineering positions. H-1B is the most common long-term path. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican engineers without a lottery wait. F-1 CPT and OPT work well for students and recent graduates entering the firm before H-1B sponsorship begins.
What qualifications does HR Green expect for sponsored Engineering positions?
Most engineering roles at HR Green require a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, civil and environmental being particularly common given their project focus. For H-1B eligibility, your degree must directly relate to the specialty occupation duties. Practical project experience in public infrastructure, along with EIT or PE licensure progress, strengthens your candidacy significantly.
How do I time my application if my OPT is running out?
If your F-1 OPT expires before an H-1B takes effect on October 1, the 60-day grace period does not provide work authorization, so you need OPT to remain valid through at least the cap filing window in April. STEM OPT extension, which USCIS allows for up to 24 additional months in qualifying STEM fields, can bridge that gap if your engineering degree qualifies and HR Green is enrolled in E-Verify.
