Align your credentials to PE or PMP requirements
HR Green's Project Lead roles in consulting frequently require a Professional Engineer license or PMP certification. Get these credentialing processes underway early, as they strengthen your petition when your employer files an H-1B with USCIS.
Target HR Green's active project pipeline sectors
HR Green staffs Project Leads across municipal, transportation, and utility consulting. Research which service lines have open requisitions, then tailor your resume to the specific technical discipline rather than applying broadly across all posted roles.
Clarify visa support scope before accepting an offer
During the offer stage, confirm whether HR Green will cover H-1B filing fees and whether they engage outside immigration counsel. Knowing this before you sign prevents surprises when USCIS processing timelines intersect with your start date.
Use OPT or CPT to demonstrate delivery experience first
If you're on F-1 status, securing a Project Lead role during OPT lets you build a U.S. consulting track record before your employer files an H-1B cap-subject petition in April. That work history materially strengthens the specialty occupation argument.
Find open Project Lead roles at HR Green on Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to filter HR Green's Project Lead openings by visa type and location. It surfaces sponsorship-confirmed roles so you spend time applying, not verifying whether sponsorship is actually on the table.
Prepare a degree-to-role mapping document before interviewing
USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation claims in consulting. Draft a clear written narrative connecting your engineering or technical degree field to the specific duties in HR Green's Project Lead job description before your first interview round.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does HR Green sponsor H-1B visas for Project Leads?
Yes, HR Green has a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for Project Lead positions. Because this role sits within a specialty occupation framework, your degree field needs to align directly with the technical discipline the position covers. Confirming that alignment upfront with HR Green's recruiting team is the most practical first step before pursuing an application.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Lead roles at HR Green?
HR Green has sponsored candidates through H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visa pathways for this function. For Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or scientific disciplines, the TN visa is often the fastest route since it bypasses the H-1B lottery and can be processed at the port of entry without USCIS adjudication.
What qualifications and experience does HR Green expect for Project Lead roles?
Project Lead roles at HR Green in consulting and professional services typically require a bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering discipline, along with demonstrated experience managing multi-phase infrastructure or municipal projects. A Professional Engineer license or active PMP certification is frequently listed as required or strongly preferred, not optional. Client-facing delivery experience strengthens your candidacy significantly.
How do I apply for Project Lead jobs at HR Green?
You can browse and apply for Project Lead openings at HR Green directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for visa-sponsoring employers so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to the specific service line and project type listed in the posting. HR Green's recruiting process for technical roles typically includes a competency-based interview focused on project delivery experience.
How do I manage timing between my visa status and HR Green's hiring process?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT end date before your start date and ask HR Green whether they'll file an H-1B cap-subject petition in the following April registration window. The gap between OPT expiration and an H-1B effective date of October 1 can be bridged with a timely STEM OPT extension if your degree qualifies. Build this timeline into your offer negotiation conversation.
