Align your degree to engineering project work
Jedson operates in consulting and infrastructure, so frame your CS or engineering degree around systems, software development lifecycles, or project delivery. A direct field match strengthens the specialty occupation case your employer will need to make.
Start OPT paperwork before your offer letter
F-1 candidates targeting Jedson should initiate their OPT application with their DSO well before graduation. USCIS recommends applying up to 90 days early, and delays can create gaps that complicate a start date negotiation with a consulting employer.
Search open Software Engineer roles on Migrate Mate
Jedson posts Software Engineer openings across multiple locations and project types. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Jedson Engineering roles that are open to visa sponsorship, so you're not guessing which listings are relevant to your situation.
Target project-based roles with defined technical scope
Jedson's consulting structure means some Software Engineer postings are tied to specific client engagements. Roles with clear technical deliverables are easier for employers to support through the DOL's Labor Condition Application process than broadly scoped positions.
Confirm TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status is available for certain engineering roles under USMCA and doesn't require a USCIS petition. If you qualify, this can significantly reduce processing time compared to H-1B, making you a lower-friction hire for a consulting firm managing project timelines.

Find Software Engineer at Jedson Engineering JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Jedson Engineering sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Jedson Engineering's sponsorship activity for Software Engineers is concentrated in employment-based Green Card categories (EB-2 and EB-3) and F-1 OPT and CPT, rather than H-1B. If you're currently on OPT or CPT, you're well-positioned to pursue a role there. Candidates seeking H-1B sponsorship should ask directly during the offer stage, as consulting firms' H-1B practices can vary by project and budget cycle.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Jedson Engineering?
You can search and apply for Software Engineer roles at Jedson Engineering directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters for visa-sponsoring employers so you can see which listings align with your immigration status. Tailor your application to emphasize project-based software delivery and any domain experience relevant to Jedson's engineering consulting work.
Which visa types does Jedson Engineering commonly use for Software Engineer roles?
Jedson Engineering supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students and recent graduates, and sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Cards for longer-term hires. Canadian and Mexican nationals may also be eligible for TN status in qualifying engineering roles. This mix makes Jedson a realistic option for candidates at different stages of their immigration journey, from first U.S. job to permanent residence.
What qualifications does Jedson Engineering expect for Software Engineer roles?
Jedson's Software Engineer roles are tied to consulting and infrastructure projects, so a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field is typically required. Practical experience with systems development, software architecture, or client-facing project delivery strengthens your candidacy. For visa sponsorship purposes, the degree field must directly relate to the job duties to satisfy the specialty occupation standard under DOL and USCIS guidelines.
How long does the Green Card process take if Jedson Engineering sponsors me?
For EB-3 sponsorship, the process starts with a PERM labor certification filed with DOL, which currently takes roughly 12 to 18 months to adjudicate. After PERM approval, your employer files an I-140 petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth, priority date backlogs can add years to the timeline before you can file for adjustment of status. Starting the process as early as possible in your employment is strongly advisable.
