Align your degree to Jedson's project disciplines
Jedson focuses on industrial and infrastructure engineering, so your transcript and credentials should clearly reflect a qualifying field like civil, mechanical, or chemical engineering. Vague degree titles can stall PERM-based sponsorship if DOL can't confirm a direct match.
Target Jedson's active project locations early
Jedson staffs Project Engineers regionally based on active client contracts. Research which service lines are expanding before applying, since sponsorship willingness often tracks with project pipeline and where the company is actively hiring versus backfilling.
Clarify OPT or CPT eligibility before your first interview
If you're on F-1 status, confirm whether your start date aligns with your OPT authorization window. Jedson sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, but gaps between your program end date and offer start date can create work authorization issues before longer-term sponsorship kicks in.
Ask about EB-2 versus EB-3 routing during offer negotiations
Jedson sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 pathways. Which one applies to your role depends on how the position is classified and your highest degree. Confirm with the hiring team whether the Project Engineer role they're filling meets EB-2 advanced degree standards or will be filed under EB-3.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Project Engineer roles at Jedson
Sorting through Jedson's open roles by visa type saves time when you need to confirm sponsorship is on the table before applying. Use Migrate Mate to filter Project Engineer postings at Jedson by the visa categories relevant to your current status.
Expect a PERM timeline if you're pursuing a Green Card
Employment-based Green Card sponsorship through PERM requires DOL to certify that no qualified U.S. workers were available for your role. Factor in current PERM processing times at DOL when planning your transition from temporary work authorization to permanent residency.

Does Jedson Engineering sponsor H-1B visas for Project Engineers?
Jedson Engineering's publicly documented sponsorship activity for Project Engineers centers on employment-based Green Card pathways (EB-2 and EB-3) and F-1 work authorization programs like OPT and CPT, along with TN visas for eligible candidates. H-1B sponsorship is less prominent in their filings for this role, so it's worth clarifying directly with Jedson's HR team during the offer stage whether H-1B support is available for your specific position.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Engineer roles at Jedson Engineering?
Jedson Engineering most commonly supports Project Engineers through F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN visas for Canadian and Mexican nationals, and employment-based Green Card sponsorship via EB-2 and EB-3 PERM. If you're a recent graduate on F-1 status or a Canadian or Mexican national in an engineering discipline, these pathways align most directly with how Jedson structures sponsorship for this function.
What qualifications or experience does Jedson Engineering expect for Project Engineer roles?
Jedson typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as civil, mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering, along with some project execution experience in industrial or infrastructure settings. For EB-2 or EB-3 PERM sponsorship, your degree field must align directly with the role as classified in the PERM application, so a clearly matched technical background strengthens both your candidacy and the sponsorship filing.
How do I apply for Project Engineer jobs at Jedson Engineering?
You can browse and apply for Project Engineer openings at Jedson Engineering directly through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters Jedson's roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm your visa category is supported before applying. When you apply, be upfront about your work authorization status and timeline so Jedson's hiring team can assess sponsorship fit early in the process rather than at the offer stage.
How long does the Green Card sponsorship process take for a Project Engineer at Jedson Engineering?
The timeline depends on which EB category applies and your country of birth. The PERM labor certification at DOL is typically the first step and can take anywhere from several months to over a year depending on current processing queues. For candidates born in India or China, priority date backlogs in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories can significantly extend the overall timeline beyond the PERM stage, so planning ahead matters.
