Align your degree to LCA-filed disciplines
Osborn files Labor Condition Applications tied to specific engineering disciplines. Before applying, confirm your degree field matches the civil, structural, or infrastructure focus of the Project Engineer role, since DOL requires a direct nexus between your credentials and the position.
Use Migrate Mate to filter Project Engineer openings
Osborn posts Project Engineer roles across multiple offices and project types. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Osborn positions that list visa sponsorship, so you're applying to roles where the hiring team has already confirmed authorization support.
Time OPT applications around Osborn's project cycles
Engineering consultancies like Osborn ramp hiring ahead of project kickoffs, not on fixed calendar schedules. If you're on F-1 OPT, apply your authorization start date to align with a realistic project onboarding window, not just the earliest possible date.
Prepare a PE licensure roadmap for your interview
Project Engineer roles at consulting firms are stepping stones to Professional Engineer licensure. Osborn interviewers expect you to articulate your EIT or PE progress, so bring your NCEES transcript or exam registration status to show you're already on the licensing path.
Clarify H-1B cap timing before accepting an offer
If you need a new H-1B, USCIS registration opens each March for an October 1 start. Confirm with Osborn's HR team whether they'll submit your registration before you receive a formal offer, so you understand the contingency timeline.

Find Project Engineer at Osborn Engineering JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Osborn Engineering sponsor H-1B visas for Project Engineers?
Yes, Osborn Engineering sponsors H-1B visas for Project Engineer roles. As an engineering consultancy, Osborn regularly petitions USCIS for H-1B workers in specialty occupations, which includes licensed and pre-licensure engineering positions. If you need cap-subject H-1B sponsorship, confirm with the recruiter early whether they'll submit a registration for you in the March lottery window.
How do I apply for Project Engineer jobs at Osborn Engineering?
Applications go through Osborn's careers portal, where Project Engineer roles are listed by office location and discipline. You can also browse and filter Osborn's sponsored openings on Migrate Mate, which surfaces only roles where the employer has a history of supporting international candidates. Tailor your resume to the specific infrastructure or structural discipline listed in the posting before applying.
Which visa types does Osborn Engineering commonly use for Project Engineers?
Osborn sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and J-1 visas for Project Engineer positions. TN is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles. F-1 OPT and CPT are commonly used by recent graduates before H-1B sponsorship. The right category depends on your nationality, degree status, and where you are in the application timeline.
What qualifications does Osborn Engineering expect for Project Engineer roles?
Osborn Project Engineer roles typically require a bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline. Progress toward an Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer license is expected, and many postings specify relevant software proficiency such as AutoCAD, STAAD, or Revit. Prior project delivery experience in a consulting or infrastructure context strengthens your application significantly.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship to join Osborn Engineering?
Timeline depends on your visa type. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry the same day for qualifying Canadian citizens. H-1B requires USCIS registration in March, with work authorization starting October 1 at the earliest. F-1 OPT requires USCIS processing of up to 90 days after you file Form I-765, so apply well before your program end date.
