Verify your PE licensure portability early
Osborn operates across multiple U.S. states, so confirm whether your home-country engineering credentials can lead to a U.S. Professional Engineer license. Many consulting firms require or fast-track PE licensure, and starting the reciprocity process before your offer strengthens your candidacy.
Target Osborn's infrastructure-heavy project teams
Osborn's Structural Project Engineer roles frequently align with transportation, municipal, and institutional projects. Tailoring your resume to highlight structural work on bridges, public buildings, or utility infrastructure signals direct fit with the project types Osborn consistently pursues in consulting.
Search open Structural Project Engineer roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa sponsorship type, so you can find Osborn's active Structural Project Engineer openings that explicitly support H-1B or OPT candidates without sifting through roles that don't sponsor.
Align your offer timing with H-1B cap season
H-1B petitions are subject to an annual cap with a registration window opening in March. If your OPT expires before October 1, work with Osborn's immigration counsel early to assess cap-gap coverage and whether your role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria.
Prepare a degree equivalency analysis before interviews
USCIS requires a direct nexus between your degree field and the structural engineering role. If your degree is in civil engineering or a related discipline from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization before your first interview to preempt any specialty occupation questions.

Find Structural Project Engineer at Osborn Engineering JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Osborn Engineering sponsor H-1B visas for Structural Project Engineers?
Yes, Osborn Engineering sponsors H-1B visas for Structural Project Engineer roles. Structural engineering fits squarely within USCIS specialty occupation criteria, which typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Because Osborn operates as a consulting firm across multiple project types, H-1B sponsorship for this role is part of their standard hiring process for qualified international candidates.
How do I apply for Structural Project Engineer jobs at Osborn Engineering?
Applications go through Osborn Engineering's careers portal, where you can filter by role and location. Before applying, confirm the posting references visa sponsorship or contact the recruiter directly to ask. Migrate Mate aggregates Osborn's open Structural Project Engineer positions with sponsorship details surfaced upfront, which simplifies identifying the right postings before you invest time in a full application.
Which visa types does Osborn Engineering commonly use for Structural Project Engineers?
Osborn sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and J-1 visas for Structural Project Engineer roles. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose engineering credentials meet the USMCA category requirements. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship typically following once candidates are established on the team.
What qualifications does Osborn Engineering expect for Structural Project Engineer roles?
Osborn typically expects a bachelor's or master's degree in structural or civil engineering from an accredited program, along with relevant project experience in consulting or infrastructure settings. Familiarity with structural analysis software such as RISA or SAP2000 is commonly referenced in postings. Progress toward a U.S. Professional Engineer license is valued, particularly for roles involving sealed drawings or direct client deliverables.
How do I handle the H-1B filing timeline if I'm currently on OPT at Osborn Engineering?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March each year, with a lottery selection in late March and petition filing beginning April 1 for an October 1 start. If you're on STEM OPT and your extension covers October 1, cap-gap rules protect your status through the transition. Coordinate with Osborn's immigration counsel at least four months before your OPT expiration to avoid gaps in work authorization.
