Align your credentials to LCA-filed titles
JPMorganChase files Labor Condition Applications through DOL before sponsoring any work visa. Review publicly available LCA disclosure data to confirm which Development Director job titles the company has filed for, so your resume mirrors those exact designations.
Target technology and product lines first
Development Director openings within JPMorganChase's technology infrastructure and digital product divisions have the clearest sponsorship precedent. Internal product platforms and enterprise software teams are where this role sees the most active hiring across the holding company's subsidiaries.
Build your specialty occupation documentation before interviews
USCIS scrutinizes whether Development Director roles qualify as specialty occupations. Prepare a portfolio showing your degree field directly maps to your job duties, particularly around technical program delivery or engineering leadership, not general management.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship openings
Searching JPMorganChase's public careers portal returns every open role regardless of sponsorship availability. Browse Development Director positions on Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles where JPMorganChase has a confirmed sponsorship history for your visa type.
Confirm PERM filing timing if pursuing a Green Card
JPMorganChase sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for eligible Development Directors, but PERM labor certification through DOL typically begins after at least one year of employment. Negotiate Green Card sponsorship intent into your offer conversation, not after onboarding.

Find Development Director at JPMorganChase JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does JPMorganChase sponsor H-1B visas for Development Directors?
Yes, JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B visas for Development Director roles, particularly within its technology and product divisions. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual lottery, timing your application around the October 1 fiscal year start matters. JPMorganChase has experience managing the H-1B cap process for mid-to-senior technical leadership roles, so raising sponsorship intent early in the offer stage is the most effective approach.
How do I apply for Development Director jobs at JPMorganChase?
You can apply through JPMorganChase's careers portal, but filtering for roles that actually include visa sponsorship takes additional research. Migrate Mate lists verified Development Director openings at JPMorganChase with sponsorship history, so you can prioritize applications where your visa type has precedent. Tailor your resume to match the specific job function, whether that's technology program delivery, product development, or operations leadership.
Which visa types does JPMorganChase sponsor for Development Directors?
JPMorganChase sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for work authorization, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term immigration. E-3 is available only to Australian citizens and bypasses the H-1B lottery entirely. H-1B1 is reserved for Chilean and Singaporean nationals. The right pathway depends on your nationality and how long you intend to remain in the role.
What qualifications does JPMorganChase expect for sponsored Development Director roles?
JPMorganChase typically expects a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as computer science, engineering, or information systems, combined with progressive leadership experience in technical program or product development. For USCIS specialty occupation purposes, the degree field must align closely with the role's core duties. General management backgrounds without a technical degree component tend to face more scrutiny during H-1B or E-3 adjudication.
How do I understand the visa sponsorship timeline for a Development Director offer at JPMorganChase?
The timeline depends on your visa category. E-3 and H-1B1 can move quickly once an LCA is certified by DOL, often within a few weeks. H-1B requires lottery selection followed by USCIS adjudication, which can take several months without premium processing. If you're pursuing a Green Card through PERM, factor in at least one to two years from employment start to labor certification approval, depending on backlog conditions.
