Align your credentials with U.S. accounting standards
KBR's manufacturing finance teams operate under U.S. GAAP. Before applying, confirm your qualifications translate clearly, and if your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved organization to support any visa petition.
Target KBR locations with active hiring activity
KBR posts Bookkeeper openings across multiple U.S. states tied to their manufacturing and government services projects. Focus your applications on locations where project pipelines are active, since those sites are more likely to have open headcount with sponsorship attached.
Understand which sponsorship path fits your situation
KBR has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for finance roles. EB-3 is the more common route for Bookkeeper positions. If you're already in the U.S. on a work visa, confirm with the recruiter early whether KBR will initiate PERM labor certification as part of the offer.
Ask about H-2A scope before assuming eligibility
KBR's H-2A filings are tied to agricultural or seasonal project labor, not office-based accounting roles. If you're targeting a Bookkeeper position specifically, focus your sponsorship conversations on employment-based Green Card pathways rather than H-2A, which won't apply to this function.
Browse verified Bookkeeper openings at KBR on Migrate Mate
Search Migrate Mate to filter KBR's Bookkeeper listings by sponsorship type and location. It lets you identify which postings are actively tied to visa sponsorship so you're not spending time on roles that won't support your immigration needs.
Prepare for a PERM timeline before accepting an offer
PERM labor certification through DOL typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives the I-140 petition. If KBR extends a Green Card-backed offer for a Bookkeeper role, confirm your current visa status gives you enough runway to stay authorized throughout the process.

Find Bookkeeper at KBR JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KBR sponsor H-1B visas for Bookkeepers?
KBR's sponsorship activity for Bookkeeper roles is concentrated on employment-based Green Card pathways rather than H-1B transfers. Bookkeeper positions are typically classified under EB-3 given the role's defined education and experience requirements. If you hold an H-1B with another employer, you'd need to discuss whether KBR would pursue an H-1B transfer as part of your offer negotiation, which is handled case by case.
How do I apply for Bookkeeper jobs at KBR?
Applications go through KBR's careers portal at kbr.com. Search for Bookkeeper or accounting roles and filter by U.S. locations tied to their manufacturing and engineering project sites. Before applying, tailor your resume to reflect project-based accounting experience, since KBR's finance teams support large contract operations. You can also use Migrate Mate to surface KBR's active Bookkeeper listings filtered by sponsorship type.
Which visa types does KBR commonly use to sponsor Bookkeepers?
For Bookkeeper roles, KBR's sponsorship track record includes EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card pathways. EB-3 is the more frequently used route for accounting positions that require a bachelor's degree and defined work experience. H-2A sponsorship appears in KBR's broader filing history but is specific to temporary agricultural and seasonal labor, not office-based finance roles.
What qualifications does KBR expect for a sponsored Bookkeeper role?
KBR typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field, along with hands-on experience in accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliation. Familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments is a practical advantage. For sponsored roles, your degree and experience must align tightly with the PERM job description DOL uses to certify the position.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Bookkeeper role at KBR?
If KBR sponsors you through the EB-3 Green Card pathway, the process starts with PERM labor certification filed with DOL, which currently takes 12 to 18 months. After PERM approval, KBR files an I-140 petition with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth, priority date backlogs can add significant wait time before you can file for adjustment of status or an immigrant visa.
