Align your credentials to KBR's engineering standards
KBR's program management roles in manufacturing typically require PMP certification or an equivalent engineering management credential. Confirm your degree and certifications are clearly framed around project delivery in industrial or infrastructure environments before you apply.
Target KBR's government and industrial program divisions
KBR fills Program Manager openings across defense, industrial services, and engineering programs. Roles tied to government contracts often have more structured sponsorship pathways, so filtering your search by those business units puts you in front of the most relevant openings.
Understand which visa types fit your profile
KBR sponsors both H-1B and employment-based Green Card categories for program management roles. If you're early in your U.S. career, H-1B is the likely starting point. If you have substantial experience, ask the recruiter directly whether an EB-2 or EB-3 petition is on the table.
Get ahead of the PERM labor certification timeline
Green Card sponsorship through PERM requires DOL to certify no qualified U.S. workers were displaced. For a senior Program Manager role, that process can run 12 to 18 months before an I-140 is even filed. Clarify sponsorship intent during the offer stage, not after you start.
Use Migrate Mate to find active KBR openings that sponsor
Not every KBR listing signals sponsorship willingness upfront. Use Migrate Mate to filter Project Program Manager roles at KBR by visa type so you only spend time on positions where sponsorship is already confirmed, not inferred.
Negotiate sponsorship commitment before you sign the offer
KBR's hiring moves through formal offer letters tied to specific contract awards. Once an offer is issued, ask HR to confirm in writing which visa category they intend to file. Verbal assurances before the offer letter are not binding and can create delays if the contracting situation changes.

Find Project Program Manager at KBR JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KBR sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, KBR does sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles, particularly where the position requires a specialized degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field. Sponsorship is handled at the business unit level, so outcomes can vary depending on the specific program or contract the role supports. Confirming sponsorship intent with the recruiter early in the process is the most reliable way to avoid surprises.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at KBR?
Applications go through KBR's careers portal, where you can search by job title and location. For international candidates, Migrate Mate lets you filter KBR's open Project Program Manager roles specifically by visa sponsorship type, so you can focus your application effort on positions where sponsorship has been confirmed rather than assumed. Tailoring your resume to reflect program delivery experience in industrial or government contracting environments improves your chances of clearing the initial screening.
Which visa types does KBR commonly use for Project Program Manager roles?
KBR sponsors both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories for this role. H-1B is the most common pathway for candidates entering the U.S. workforce, covering specialty occupations in engineering and project management. For candidates with more experience, KBR has also pursued employment-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 and EB-3 categories, which involve PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before the immigration petition stage.
What qualifications does KBR expect for Project Program Manager roles?
Most KBR Program Manager openings require a bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a closely related technical discipline, along with demonstrated experience managing complex programs in manufacturing, defense, or industrial services. PMP certification is frequently listed as required or strongly preferred. Candidates with experience on government-funded infrastructure or industrial construction contracts are particularly competitive, as much of KBR's program portfolio operates in those sectors.
How do I approach the visa sponsorship timeline for a KBR Program Manager offer?
If KBR extends an H-1B offer, the petition must be filed with USCIS during the annual cap registration window, typically in March, with an October 1 start date if selected. For Green Card sponsorship, the PERM process with DOL and subsequent I-140 filing can take two or more years depending on your priority date and country of birth. Raising the sponsorship conversation before the formal offer is issued gives you time to align expectations with HR on which category they plan to file.
