Align Your Credentials to KBR's Technical Standards
KBR prioritizes documented trade certifications and hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing environments. Before applying, verify your credentials translate clearly to U.S. standards, since USCIS and DOL both assess whether your qualifications meet the specific occupational requirements for sponsored roles.
Target KBR Roles Listed as Direct Hire
KBR staffs some Technician positions through contractors, which rarely come with sponsorship. Focus on direct-hire postings, where the sponsorship obligation sits with KBR itself and Green Card pathways through EB-2 or EB-3 become a realistic option to negotiate.
Browse Sponsored Technician Openings on Migrate Mate
Not every KBR Technician posting makes sponsorship eligibility obvious. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for KBR roles that have a confirmed sponsorship history, saving you from applying to positions where authorization support was never on the table.
Understand How PERM Labor Certification Affects Your Timeline
EB-3 sponsorship at manufacturing employers like KBR typically requires a PERM filing through DOL before USCIS can process your immigrant petition. That process alone can take over a year, so clarify with your hiring contact whether PERM has already been initiated for the role.
Prepare for Skills-Based Screening Before the Offer Stage
KBR Technician hiring in manufacturing environments often includes practical assessments or technical interviews before an offer is extended. Having documentation of completed projects, equipment experience, or relevant safety certifications ready accelerates the evaluation and strengthens your sponsorship case.
Clarify Visa Category Fit Early in Recruiter Conversations
KBR's sponsorship for Technician roles tends to fall under employment-based Green Card categories rather than H-1B, which requires a specialty occupation degree. Raising the EB-2 or EB-3 question directly with the recruiter early prevents misaligned expectations and wasted time on both sides.

Find Technician at KBR JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does KBR sponsor H-1B visas for Technicians?
H-1B sponsorship is uncommon for Technician roles at KBR because H-1B classification requires a specialty occupation that typically demands a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Most Technician positions are skilled trades or technical support roles, which align better with employment-based Green Card categories like EB-2 or EB-3 rather than H-1B.
Which visa types are commonly used for Technician roles at KBR?
EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories are the primary sponsorship pathways for Technician roles at KBR. EB-3 is particularly common in manufacturing environments for skilled workers who meet the occupational requirements. In some cases, H-2A sponsorship applies to temporary or seasonal agricultural-adjacent technical work. The right category depends on the specific role, your qualifications, and the duration of the position.
How do I apply for Technician jobs at KBR?
You can find and apply for KBR Technician positions through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with a confirmed sponsorship history so you're not guessing whether authorization support is available. Once you identify a target role, tailor your application to emphasize technical certifications, hands-on manufacturing or industrial experience, and any relevant safety training that matches KBR's operational environment.
What qualifications and experience does KBR typically expect for Technician roles?
KBR generally looks for demonstrated hands-on experience in industrial, manufacturing, or field service environments. Relevant trade certifications, equipment-specific training, and documented safety credentials carry significant weight. For roles where Green Card sponsorship is on the table, USCIS and DOL will assess whether your background meets the prevailing wage level and occupational standards set for the position.
How do I understand the timeline for Green Card sponsorship through KBR?
Green Card sponsorship through KBR for Technician roles typically begins with a PERM labor certification filing with DOL, which can take 12 to 18 months or longer depending on audit activity. After PERM approval, KBR files an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. If your priority date is current, you can then apply for adjustment of status. The full process from offer to Green Card often spans several years, so starting the conversation early with your hiring contact matters.
