Align your credentials to Keysight's hardware stack
Keysight's Engineering Technician roles center on electronic test and measurement equipment. Certifications in signal analysis, oscilloscopes, or RF instrumentation will strengthen your application far more than general electronics credentials.
Target Keysight's R&D and manufacturing sites directly
Keysight concentrates Engineering Technician hiring at sites tied to product development and manufacturing. Research which locations are actively building or testing hardware, then apply to those postings rather than filtering by city alone.
Confirm H-1B specialty occupation fit before applying
H-1B eligibility for Engineering Technician roles requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field is the minimum entry requirement. Review the job description for explicit degree requirements before submitting.
Prepare your degree equivalency documentation early
Keysight operates in a field where USCIS scrutinizes Engineering Technician petitions closely. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation completed before your employer begins filing so there are no delays at the I-129 stage.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Engineering Technician roles
Search for Engineering Technician openings at Keysight that are tagged for visa sponsorship using Migrate Mate, so you're only spending time on roles where international candidates are actively considered.
Ask your recruiter about PERM sponsorship timelines upfront
If your goal is permanent residency through EB-2 or EB-3, raise it during the offer stage, not after you've started. DOL's PERM process can take 12 to 18 months or longer, and earlier alignment with your employer avoids complications when your H-1B status nears its limit.

Find Engineering Technician at Keysight Technologies JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Keysight Technologies sponsor H-1B visas for Engineering Technicians?
Yes, Keysight Technologies sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering Technician roles. The position needs to qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which requires that the role normally demands a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific technical discipline. Keysight's engineering-focused work environment means many of these roles meet that threshold, but the specific job description determines eligibility.
How do I apply for Engineering Technician jobs at Keysight Technologies?
Applications go through Keysight's careers portal. Browse open Engineering Technician postings, filter by location and team, and apply directly. You can also use Migrate Mate to find Keysight's Engineering Technician openings that are tagged for visa sponsorship, which saves time if you need employer-sponsored work authorization to take the role.
Which visa types does Keysight Technologies commonly use for Engineering Technician roles?
Keysight sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Engineering Technician positions on a nonimmigrant basis. For candidates pursuing permanent residency, Keysight has a history of supporting EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which involve the DOL's PERM labor certification process. The right path depends on your qualifications, degree field, and how the specific role is classified.
What qualifications does Keysight Technologies expect for Engineering Technician candidates?
Keysight's Engineering Technician roles typically require hands-on experience with electronic test and measurement systems, including instruments like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, or oscilloscopes. A degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or a closely related field strengthens both your candidacy and your H-1B petition. Practical lab skills and familiarity with Keysight's own product lines are a recurring theme across posted job requirements.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take if I receive an Engineering Technician offer from Keysight?
For H-1B, your employer files starting April 1 for an October 1 start, so timing relative to the lottery cycle matters. Premium processing through USCIS shortens adjudication to around 15 business days once filed. If Keysight initiates a Green Card process, the PERM stage alone with the DOL typically runs 12 to 18 months before USCIS petition filing begins.
