Target roles at the intersection of tech and training
KnowBe4's core product is security awareness education, so roles in instructional design, curriculum development, and cybersecurity engineering are natural fits. These departments have historically driven sponsorship activity and align with the company's Education-industry focus.
Understand which visa types KnowBe4 actively supports
KnowBe4 sponsors H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT, as well as Green Card pathways. Knowing which category fits your situation before applying helps you frame conversations with recruiters and avoids late-stage surprises during the offer process.
Apply during hiring cycles, not after
For H-1B cap-subject roles, KnowBe4 needs to file in March for an October start. Engage with their recruiting team well before the new year so your offer letter and LCA are in place before the registration window opens.
Highlight domain expertise, not just technical skills
KnowBe4 values candidates who understand the cybersecurity training space. In your application, connect your background to security awareness, compliance training, or related fields, this signals long-term fit and strengthens the specialty occupation case for your visa petition.
Use F-1 OPT as a foot in the door
KnowBe4 sponsors F-1 OPT and CPT, making it accessible for international students early in their career. A successful OPT stint can naturally progress to H-1B sponsorship, especially if you've demonstrated value in a role central to their product or go-to-market team.
Find verified KnowBe4 openings through Migrate Mate
Searching for sponsors manually is unreliable. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you confirm KnowBe4 is actively hiring for your visa type before you invest time in an application.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does KnowBe4 sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, KnowBe4 sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying specialty occupation roles. Sponsorship tends to be concentrated in technical and product-adjacent positions rather than generalist roles. If you're targeting an H-1B through KnowBe4, focus on roles with a clear degree requirement in a specific field and engage recruiters early enough to meet the annual cap filing window.
What visa types does KnowBe4 sponsor?
KnowBe4 sponsors a range of visa types including H-1B, TN visa, J-1 visa, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for work authorization, as well as EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term permanent residence. The mix reflects a company that supports both early-career international hires and experienced professionals seeking a path to permanent status in the U.S.
Which departments or roles at KnowBe4 are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at KnowBe4 is most common in roles that require specialized technical or domain expertise, think software engineering, cybersecurity, data analytics, and product development. Given the company's focus on security awareness training, roles tied to content, curriculum, or platform development may also be strong candidates. Generalist business roles are less consistently sponsored.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at KnowBe4?
The most reliable approach is to use Migrate Mate, which aggregates and verifies sponsorship history so you can browse KnowBe4 openings filtered by visa type. This removes the guesswork of whether a listing actually leads to sponsorship, a common frustration when searching across general job boards that don't surface this data.
How do I approach the application timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at KnowBe4?
The H-1B cap runs on a strict annual cycle: USCIS opens registration in March, and employment begins October 1 at the earliest. To hit that window, you need an offer and a certified Labor Condition Application in place before March. That means starting your job search and recruiter conversations at KnowBe4 no later than the preceding fall to avoid missing the cycle entirely.
