ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include teaching a broad variety of undergraduate courses in criminal justice and criminology such as Introduction to Criminal Justice, Police and Society, Corrections, Offender and Prisoner Rights, Crime and Public Policy, senior seminar, as well as developing other classes that meet the evolving needs of students and the department. Additional responsibilities include maintaining regular on campus office hours, attending faculty and department meetings, advising, and assisting in the recruiting and retention of students.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have an excellent record of teaching and a demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate level. Ideally, candidates will possess a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a closely related field such as Public Administration with a concentration in CJ. A doctorate must be completed before the starting date.
