MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) at Spring Harbor is seeking an Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join our team.
We are seeking a full-time psychiatrist to lead compassionate, team-based inpatient care of adults with a broad range of behavioral health conditions. You'll work alongside skilled nurse practitioners, physician associates, registered nurses, behavioral health clinicians, behavioral health specialists, and technicians in a collegial environment that values collaboration, innovation, and continuity of care. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape treatment plans, provide direct therapeutic and pharmacologic interventions, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients—while enjoying a strong work-life balance in the heart of beautiful Southern Maine.
Our care continuum is a part of MaineHealth Behavioral Health, offering a wide range of services across the MaineHealth footprint. Which offers a wide range of services including outpatient, Geripsychiatry, PHP/IOP, Substance Use treatment and other inpatient services.
We provide a major teaching resource for the training programs at MHMMC. They include the General Psychiatry residents, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows. In addition, we serve students in multiple disciplines. We serve as a Tufts University School of Medicine and University of New England core rotation site. We have a culture of continuous quality improvement and our performance in the areas of safety, quality, and satisfaction are consistently excellent. Physicians are expected to apply for faculty appointment to the Tufts University School of Medicine.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School. Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.
- Current or eligible licensure as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine.
- Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented by written evidence.
- Current DEA Registration Certificate.
- 3+ years' experience inclusive residency and/or fellowship training.
- Meet other credentialing criteria defined in Medical Staff By-laws.
