Tailor your resume to healthcare customer service
Patient-facing experience, familiarity with electronic health record systems like Epic, and any medical billing or insurance knowledge set you apart. Mass General Brigham's customer service roles often sit within clinical operations, so framing your background in healthcare terms signals fit from the first screen.
Target roles in patient access and care coordination
Mass General Brigham posts customer service openings across specialties, but patient access and care coordination roles have the clearest sponsorship precedent. Filtering your search by these specific titles increases your odds of landing a position with an established H-1B filing pathway.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before your final interview
Many large health systems process sponsorship through a central immigration team rather than individual hiring managers. Ask HR explicitly whether the role is eligible for H-1B sponsorship before your final round, so there are no surprises when the offer stage arrives.
Understand the H-1B cap and your timing window
If you are not currently in H-1B status, registration opens in March for an October 1 start. Cap-exempt filings are possible if Mass General Brigham qualifies, which nonprofit hospital systems often do, so confirm this distinction directly with their HR or immigration counsel.
Use Migrate Mate to filter sponsoring employers by role
Identifying which healthcare employers actively sponsor specific customer service job types is time-consuming on your own. Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsoring employers by role and industry so you can build a targeted list of Mass General Brigham openings alongside comparable opportunities.
Prepare your credential documentation before an offer
Have your degree certificates, transcripts, and any relevant certifications ready before an offer is extended. Healthcare employers like Mass General Brigham move quickly through onboarding and E-Verify compliance, and delays in producing documents can push back your H-1B petition filing timeline.

Find Customer Service at Mass General Brigham JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Mass General Brigham sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service roles?
Yes, Mass General Brigham sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Service positions. As a large nonprofit health system, it has an established immigration process and works with outside counsel to handle H-1B petitions. Not every individual role will be eligible, so confirming sponsorship availability with the HR team during the interview process is the most reliable approach.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at Mass General Brigham?
Applications go through the Mass General Brigham careers portal, where you can search by job category and location. Migrate Mate also lists open Customer Service roles at Mass General Brigham that have a sponsorship track record, which makes it easier to identify the right positions before applying directly. Tailor your application to highlight patient-facing or healthcare operations experience.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Service roles at Mass General Brigham?
The H-1B is the primary visa used for Customer Service roles at Mass General Brigham, particularly for positions that require a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration or business. Some roles may also be filled through OPT or STEM OPT extensions for recent graduates before a formal H-1B petition is filed.
What qualifications does Mass General Brigham expect for Customer Service positions?
Most Customer Service roles at Mass General Brigham expect prior experience in a patient-facing or healthcare administrative environment. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, medical billing processes, or health insurance coordination strengthens your application. Roles tied to H-1B sponsorship typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a field that USCIS would recognize as a specialty occupation for the position.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take at a healthcare employer like Mass General Brigham?
From offer acceptance to H-1B approval, the process typically runs three to six months under standard USCIS processing, though premium processing can reduce adjudication to around 15 business days for an additional fee. Your employer files the Labor Condition Application with the DOL first, then submits the I-129 petition to USCIS. Starting the conversation with HR about sponsorship early in your offer negotiation reduces delays.
