This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s Corporation or McDonald’s USA, LLC. This means the independent franchisee, and not McDonald’s Corporation or McDonald’s USA, LLC, is alone responsible for all employment related matters in the restaurant including, among other things, setting any requirements for this job and all decisions concerning hiring, firing, discipline, supervisions, staffing and scheduling. McDonald’s Corporation or McDonald’s USA, LLC will not receive a copy of any application you submit for this job posting and will have no control over whether you receive an interview and/or are ultimately hired, does not control and is not responsible for the employment policies and practices of independent franchisees, and does not employ independent franchisees’ employees. If you are hired for this job posting, the independent franchisee, and not McDonald’s Corporation or McDonald’s USA, LLC, will be your employer.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Customer Service Management Jobs at McDonald's Jobs
Translate Food Service Leadership Into U.S. Resume Language
McDonald's hiring teams look for operational metrics: labor cost management, crew scheduling, and throughput targets. Frame your international management experience around measurable outcomes, not job duties, so your credentials read immediately to a U.S. hiring manager.
Target Corporate Locations Over Franchise Operators
Independent McDonald's franchisees rarely have the HR infrastructure to file visa petitions. Focus your search on corporate-owned restaurants or McDonald's corporate office roles, where the legal and sponsorship machinery already exists for international hires.
Clarify Sponsorship Willingness Before Final Interviews
McDonald's corporate distinguishes between roles flagged for sponsorship and those that aren't. Ask your recruiter directly whether the specific location or department has sponsored the visa type you need before investing time in multi-round interviews.
Align Your Start Date With H-1B Cap Timelines
If you need H-1B sponsorship, USCIS's cap-subject registration opens in March for an October 1 start date. Build this into your offer negotiation so McDonald's HR knows the earliest you can begin without requiring a bridge status or premium processing.
Understand TN Eligibility for Management Roles
Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles may be eligible for TN status, which McDonald's can support without a lottery. Confirm with McDonald's HR that the role's job description meets DOL's occupational classification requirements before proceeding.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Sponsorship-Confirmed Openings
Sorting through McDonald's job listings manually won't tell you which openings are open to sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter Customer Service Management roles at McDonald's that are verified for visa sponsorship, saving you weeks of unproductive outreach.

Find Customer Service Management at McDonald's JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does McDonald's sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service Managements?
Yes, McDonald's does sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service Management roles, primarily through corporate-owned locations and its corporate office functions. Franchise operators typically do not have the legal infrastructure to file H-1B petitions independently. If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship, focus on corporate postings and confirm sponsorship eligibility directly with the recruiter before advancing in the interview process.
How do I apply for Customer Service Management jobs at McDonald's?
Applications go through McDonald's careers portal, though not all listings disclose visa sponsorship availability. The most efficient path is to use Migrate Mate, which filters McDonald's Customer Service Management openings specifically verified for visa sponsorship, so you're only spending time on roles where international candidates are genuinely considered. Once you've identified a role, apply directly and follow up to confirm sponsorship scope with the recruiting team.
Which visa types does McDonald's commonly use for Customer Service Management roles?
McDonald's has sponsored H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for management functions. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates gaining operational experience. TN is an efficient option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. Longer-term employees may see McDonald's initiate PERM labor certification as part of a Green Card pathway.
What qualifications does McDonald's expect for Customer Service Management roles?
McDonald's typically expects a combination of food service or hospitality operations experience, demonstrated team leadership, and familiarity with high-volume customer environments. A bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field strengthens H-1B eligibility by supporting the specialty occupation classification. Hands-on experience with scheduling, inventory, and front-of-house throughput management is weighted heavily in their evaluation process.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a McDonald's management role?
Timeline depends on the visa type. F-1 OPT authorization can be in place within 90 days of graduation if you've applied on time. H-1B sponsorship through the cap requires registering in March, with employment starting no earlier than October 1. PERM-based Green Card processes take 12 to 24 months or longer depending on your country of birth and priority date. McDonald's HR teams at corporate locations are familiar with these timelines, so build them into offer discussions early.
