Position Overview:
This position supports the Director in the daily operations and strategic management of the Team Store. Responsibilities include assisting with merchandise purchasing, monitoring inventory levels, and reordering products as needed while maintaining compliance with the annual budget. The role collaborates with the Director to develop and implement short- and long-term operational goals and assists in supervising Team Store staff. The position serves as an administrative liaison between the Team Store and campus departments, students, vendors, and community members. Additional responsibilities include supervising three full-time classified employees and multiple student workers by overseeing scheduling, approving leave, conducting performance evaluations, reviewing timesheets, coordinating training, supporting the hiring process, and assigning daily work duties. The role also manages purchasing for the Team Store and mobile storefront operations, generates purchase orders through the institution’s internal purchasing system, and maintains inventory for all non-book merchandise. This position also assists with identifying defective merchandise and coordinating with vendors for resolution, as well as supporting mobile storefront operations and occasional after-hours athletic events.

Position Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist the Director with ordering merchandise, monitoring inventory levels, and reordering products as needed while maintaining adherence to the annual budget.
- Manage course material procurement by coordinating with faculty to source required textbooks and supplies; generate and process purchase orders (P.O.s) in a timely manner, oversee textbook buyback operations, and administer Inclusive Access programs to ensure students have affordable and timely access to course materials.
- Support and participate in required annual training and assist Team Store staff in completing all training requirements.
- Collaborate with the Director in the development and implementation of short- and long-term operational goals and strategic plans.
- Serve as an administrative liaison between the Team Store and other campus departments, students, vendors, and community members.
- Assist the Director in supervising Team Store staff and supporting daily store operations.
- Identify defective merchandise and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues, process returns and ensure proper reconciliation.
- Supervise three full-time classified employees and multiple student workers, including approving leave requests, conducting performance evaluations, reviewing weekly timesheets, coordinating training, assisting with hiring processes, and assigning daily work duties.
- Manage purchasing for the Team Store and mobile storefront locations, including determining appropriate merchandise for stocking and restocking.
- Assist with restocking and operating mobile storefronts during campus events and occasional after-hours athletic games.
- Generate purchase orders using the institution’s internal purchasing system.
- Maintain and monitor inventory for all non-book merchandise.

- Bachelor’s degree
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 2 to 5 years of supervisory experience will be considered

- Retail computer-based skills/point of sale (POS) experience preferred
