Align your resume to fab process keywords
Micron's Manufacturing Engineer postings consistently reference CVD, CMP, lithography, and etch process experience. Mirror that language in your resume before applying so your profile clears automated screening for roles in their DRAM and NAND fabs.
Target sites with active H-1B filing history
Micron sponsors H-1B visas across multiple U.S. fab locations, including Boise and Manassas. Applying to sites with established visa infrastructure reduces the risk of landing at a location where sponsorship processes are newer or less routine.
Clarify sponsorship scope before your offer stage
Ask your recruiter whether the offer includes H-1B filing, PERM sponsorship, or both. Micron supports multi-stage sponsorship for some Manufacturing Engineer roles, but the pathway varies by position level and site, so confirm it in writing before accepting.
Time your application around the H-1B cap window
USCIS opens H-1B cap registrations each March. If you need cap-subject sponsorship, Micron will need lead time to register on your behalf. Start the recruiting process by January so your offer and paperwork are ready before the registration window closes.
Get your credentials evaluated for U.S. equivalency
If your engineering degree is from outside the U.S., get a credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization before interviewing. Micron's immigration team will need this documentation to support your H-1B Labor Condition Application with DOL.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Manufacturing Engineer roles
Filtering for visa-sponsoring employers in semiconductor manufacturing manually is slow and incomplete. Use Migrate Mate to search Manufacturing Engineer openings at Micron Technology filtered by sponsorship type, so you only apply where H-1B or Green Card pathways are confirmed.

Find Manufacturing Engineer at Micron Technology JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Micron Technology sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Engineers?
Yes, Micron Technology sponsors H-1B visas for Manufacturing Engineers and has done so consistently across its U.S. fabrication facilities. The company also sponsors H-1B1 visas for eligible nationals and supports Green Card pathways through EB-2 and EB-3 PERM labor certification for longer-tenure engineering roles.
Which visa types does Micron Technology use for Manufacturing Engineer roles?
Micron sponsors H-1B visas for most international Manufacturing Engineers. H-1B1 sponsorship is available for qualifying nationals from Singapore and Chile. For employees pursuing permanent residency, Micron supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions through the PERM labor certification process filed with DOL, typically after a period of full-time employment.
What qualifications does Micron Technology expect for Manufacturing Engineer roles?
Most Manufacturing Engineer roles at Micron require a bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline. Hands-on experience with semiconductor fabrication processes such as lithography, etch, deposition, or CMP is strongly preferred. Roles at senior levels typically require prior fab or cleanroom experience in a high-volume production environment.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Engineer jobs at Micron Technology?
Applications go through Micron's careers portal, where you can filter by role type and location. To find Manufacturing Engineer openings that include visa sponsorship, use Migrate Mate to browse and filter Micron's live postings by sponsorship type. Submit a resume that maps directly to the process technologies listed in the job description to improve your screening odds.
How do I plan my timeline for H-1B sponsorship at Micron Technology?
USCIS accepts H-1B cap registrations each March, with approved petitions taking effect October 1. You'll need a signed offer and completed Labor Condition Application filed with DOL before Micron can submit your H-1B petition. Plan to be in active recruiting by January at the latest. If you're already in the U.S. on OPT or another status, Micron can file for a cap-exempt or status-change petition on a different timeline.
