Align your resume to embedded systems experience
Modine's Software Engineer roles often sit at the intersection of industrial controls and software. Highlighting experience with manufacturing execution systems, PLC integration, or IoT platforms signals direct relevance and reduces employer hesitation around sponsorship overhead.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before your interview
As a federal contractor, Modine is required to use E-Verify for employment authorization. Confirm your work authorization documents are current and accurate before any offer stage so there are no surprises during onboarding.
Target roles in engineering or product development divisions
Modine's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical functions tied to product innovation. Software Engineers embedded in R&D or thermal systems teams are more likely to be supported through the H-1B or PERM process than roles in general IT support.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
Modine posts Software Engineer positions across multiple hiring cycles. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles that match your visa category, so you're applying to positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring conversation.
Prepare for the H-1B cap timeline during offer negotiation
If you need a new H-1B, registrations open in March for an October 1 start date. When negotiating your offer, flag this timeline early so Modine's HR and legal teams can plan the USCIS registration without last-minute friction.
Build your PERM case with role-specific documentation
For Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, DOL requires a PERM labor certification that matches your actual job duties. Document your specialized contributions in Modine's engineering environment throughout your tenure to support a strong application.

Find Software Engineer at Modine Manufacturing Company JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Modine Manufacturing Company sponsor H-1B visas for Software Engineers?
Yes, Modine Manufacturing Company sponsors H-1B visas for Software Engineer roles, particularly in technical functions tied to product development and industrial systems. The company participates in the annual H-1B cap registration process, so if you need cap-subject sponsorship, your offer needs to be in place before the March registration window opens.
How do I apply for Software Engineer jobs at Modine Manufacturing Company?
You can apply directly through Modine's careers site or find open Software Engineer positions filtered by visa sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your application to Modine's industrial and manufacturing context. Roles tied to embedded software, controls systems, or digital product development tend to align most closely with their active hiring areas.
Which visa types does Modine Manufacturing Company commonly sponsor for Software Engineers?
Modine sponsors several visa categories for Software Engineers, including H-1B, F-1 OPT and CPT, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals, J-1, and immigrant pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship. The right visa depends on your nationality, education level, and where you are in your immigration journey. TN is typically the fastest path for eligible Canadian and Mexican engineers.
What qualifications does Modine Manufacturing Company expect for Software Engineer roles?
Modine's Software Engineer positions generally require a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. Roles in their engineering divisions frequently favor candidates with experience in industrial software, embedded systems, or manufacturing-adjacent technology. Practical experience with systems that interface with physical hardware carries more weight than general web development background in this environment.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Modine Manufacturing Company as a Software Engineer?
Timeline depends heavily on visa type. F-1 OPT authorization typically takes two to three months through your university's DSO and USCIS. H-1B sponsorship requires cap registration in March with an October 1 start date, meaning the process spans six to eight months from offer to start. TN status for Canadian or Mexican nationals can be obtained at the port of entry on your start date if documentation is ready.
