Align your credentials to specialty occupation standards
H-1B eligibility requires your Manufacturing Engineer role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Make sure your degree is in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, not a general field, so your credentials clearly map to the specific role Modine is filling.
Target Modine facilities with active production needs
Modine operates thermal management manufacturing sites across multiple U.S. states. Roles tied to active production ramp-ups or new product introductions tend to drive the most urgent hiring, so research which facilities are expanding and tailor your applications to those locations.
Prepare your OPT or CPT timeline before applying
If you're on F-1 status, confirm your OPT start date and the 90-day unemployment limit before you accept an offer. Manufacturing Engineer roles at Modine can involve onboarding timelines that need to align precisely with your authorized work start date.
Ask about PERM and Green Card pathways early
Modine has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for engineering roles. During the offer stage, ask your recruiter directly whether the position is eligible for PERM labor certification, since EB-3 timelines for Manufacturing Engineers can stretch several years depending on your country of birth.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Manufacturing Engineer roles
Modine's sponsorship-eligible Manufacturing Engineer openings can be hard to surface through general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Modine roles that align with your visa type, so you're only applying to positions where sponsorship is genuinely on the table.
Verify your I-9 eligibility documents match Modine's E-Verify process
Modine participates in E-Verify, so gather your List A or List B and C documents before your start date. Discrepancies between your USCIS records and employer-submitted data are one of the most common causes of delayed onboarding for Manufacturing Engineer hires.

Find Manufacturing Engineer at Modine Manufacturing Company JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Modine Manufacturing Company sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Engineers?
Yes, Modine Manufacturing Company does sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Engineer roles. The position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering. Sponsorship availability can vary by facility and business need, so confirm the specific role's eligibility with the recruiter during the interview process.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Engineer jobs at Modine Manufacturing Company?
You can apply directly through Modine's careers page or find sponsorship-eligible openings through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you can confirm sponsorship is available before applying. When you apply, highlight your degree field and any hands-on experience with thermal or fluid management manufacturing processes, since those align closely with Modine's core product lines.
Which visa types does Modine Manufacturing Company commonly use for Manufacturing Engineers?
Modine has sponsored H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT work authorization for engineering roles. For longer-term employment, the company has also pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship through PERM labor certification. The right visa path depends on your citizenship, degree level, and how long you've been in the U.S., so clarify your situation with Modine's HR team early.
What qualifications does Modine Manufacturing Company expect for Manufacturing Engineer roles?
Modine typically looks for a bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering. Practical experience with process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing or Six Sigma is a strong differentiator. Familiarity with HVAC, heat exchangers, or thermal management systems is particularly relevant given Modine's product focus. For H-1B purposes, your degree must directly relate to the specific engineering duties of the role.
How do I understand the visa sponsorship timeline for a Manufacturing Engineer offer at Modine?
If you're on F-1 OPT, Modine can hire you immediately while an H-1B petition is filed for the next cap season, which opens in March each year for an October 1 start. USCIS H-1B registration is lottery-based, so there's no guarantee of selection. For TN or E-3 eligible candidates, there's no lottery and no annual cap, which can significantly shorten your path to starting work.
