Align Your Credentials to Manufacturing IT Environments
Motorola Solutions supports complex infrastructure across manufacturing and mission-critical public safety systems. Certifications like CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft endpoint management credentials signal direct readiness for the environments you'll be supporting.

Ask About PERM Timing During the Offer Stage
If you're targeting a Green Card pathway, ask the recruiter whether Motorola Solutions initiates PERM for IT Support roles and at what point in employment that process typically begins. DOL PERM processing can take 12 to 18 months, so early clarity on timing matters.

Find IT Support at Motorola Solutions JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Motorola Solutions sponsor H-1B visas for IT Support roles?
Yes, Motorola Solutions sponsors H-1B visas for IT Support positions. The company has an active sponsorship history across technical functions, including infrastructure support and systems administration. IT Support roles typically qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS criteria when the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
Which visa types are commonly used for IT Support roles at Motorola Solutions?
Motorola Solutions sponsors H-1B, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for IT Support roles, and the company also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employees. F-1 OPT is the most common entry point for recent graduates, while TN status is a practical alternative for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying IT categories.
What qualifications or experience are expected for IT Support roles at Motorola Solutions?
Most IT Support roles at Motorola Solutions expect a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, along with hands-on experience in endpoint support, ticketing systems, and enterprise hardware or software environments. Familiarity with manufacturing or mission-critical infrastructure is an advantage, given that Motorola Solutions operates across both factory environments and public safety technology deployments.
How do I apply for IT Support jobs at Motorola Solutions?
You can search for IT Support openings directly on the Motorola Solutions careers site or browse visa-sponsorship-filtered listings on Migrate Mate. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect the specific infrastructure environment the role supports, whether that's manufacturing plant systems, help desk operations, or enterprise endpoint management. Applying to roles that explicitly match your visa category improves your chances of moving forward quickly.
How do I plan my timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship through Motorola Solutions?
H-1B registration opens in March each year, with an October 1 start date if selected. If you're on F-1 OPT, you'll want your offer in place before the March registration window. USCIS allows a 60-day grace period after employment ends, so timing your job search to align with the H-1B cap cycle reduces the risk of a status gap. Premium processing, which USCIS currently adjudicates in 15 business days, is worth requesting if your OPT timeline is tight.
