Align Your Certifications to Healthcare IT Standards
MultiCare operates complex clinical and enterprise systems, so certifications like CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Epic system credentials carry real weight. Gather and verify these documents before you apply, since healthcare employers often screen on them early.
Target Roles That Match Your Visa Category
System Administrator positions at MultiCare span infrastructure, cloud, and clinical IT. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your role qualifies under your degree field before accepting an offer. USCIS scrutinizes specialty occupation alignment closely for IT roles in non-tech industries.
Research MultiCare's DOL Labor Condition Application Filings
Search the DOL OFLC disclosure database for MultiCare Health System to identify which System Administrator job titles and locations they've filed LCAs for. This tells you which roles they've actively sponsored and at what prevailing wage levels.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Active Sponsorship Openings
Filter System Administrator listings at MultiCare by visa type on Migrate Mate to find roles with confirmed sponsorship history. This saves you from applying to positions where sponsorship isn't on the table for international candidates.
Prepare for a Multi-Stage Interview Process in Healthcare IT
MultiCare typically involves both IT hiring managers and clinical operations stakeholders in System Administrator interviews. Prepare examples of supporting regulated environments like HIPAA-compliant infrastructure, since healthcare-specific compliance knowledge often differentiates candidates at the offer stage.

Yes, MultiCare Health System sponsors H-1B visas for System Administrator roles. As a large healthcare organization operating multiple hospitals and clinics, MultiCare has the HR infrastructure to support the petition process through USCIS. Sponsorship is most commonly offered to candidates who already have a job offer and whose role meets the specialty occupation standard, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field is required.
Which visa types are commonly used for System Administrator roles at MultiCare Health System?
MultiCare has sponsored H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, TN, J-1, and F-1 OPT and CPT for IT roles. H-1B is the most common path for full-time System Administrators. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying IT occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT are used by students completing degrees in computer science or information systems. EB-2 and EB-3 support longer-term permanent residence pathways for retained employees.
What qualifications does MultiCare Health System expect for System Administrator candidates?
MultiCare expects a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field, along with hands-on experience administering Windows or Linux environments, network infrastructure, or cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure. Relevant certifications like CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are commonly listed in job postings.
How do I apply for System Administrator jobs at MultiCare Health System?
You can find and apply for System Administrator positions at MultiCare Health System through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with confirmed visa sponsorship history so you can focus your effort on openings that are realistically accessible to international candidates. Applications typically go through MultiCare's own careers portal, where you'll submit a resume, complete screening questions, and may be asked about your work authorization status and whether you require sponsorship.
How long does the H-1B sponsorship process take if MultiCare extends an offer?
After an offer is accepted, MultiCare's legal team or immigration counsel files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL, which typically takes one to seven business days to certify. The H-1B petition to USCIS follows, with standard processing taking two to four months. Premium processing, which USCIS currently adjudicates in 15 business days, is available for an additional fee and is worth discussing with your HR contact if your start date is time-sensitive.
