Align your credentials with CRCM or CAMS
Newrez Compliance hiring in mortgage banking consistently favors candidates with BSA, AML, or fair lending backgrounds. Certifications like CRCM or CAMS signal domain credibility before your sponsorship situation even enters the conversation.
Research open roles across Compliance subfunctions
Use Migrate Mate to filter Newrez's Compliance openings by specialty, whether that's regulatory affairs, BSA operations, or mortgage servicing oversight, so you're targeting roles where your specific background is the strongest match.
Surface your sponsorship needs after the technical screen
Newrez Compliance interviews typically progress through a competency-based technical screen before compensation and logistics are discussed. Raising sponsorship requirements once you've demonstrated regulatory knowledge puts you in a stronger negotiating position.
Understand the PERM timeline for EB-2 and EB-3 paths
If you're targeting permanent residence through Newrez, the PERM labor certification process with DOL typically adds 12 to 18 months before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition. Factor this into your long-term authorization planning from day one.
Prepare a regulatory portfolio for your interview
Newrez operates under CFPB, OCC, and state mortgage regulator oversight. Documenting specific compliance program work you've owned, such as exam responses, policy drafts, or audit remediation, demonstrates the operational depth financial services compliance teams expect.

Find Compliance at Newrez JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Newrez sponsor H-1B visas for Compliance roles?
Yes, Newrez has sponsored H-1B visas for Compliance professionals. H-1B sponsorship for Compliance typically applies to roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as finance, law, or business administration. Because H-1B is subject to the annual lottery, timing your application cycle and securing employer commitment well before the April registration window is critical.
Which visa types are commonly used for Compliance roles at Newrez?
Newrez sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Cards including EB-2 and EB-3 for qualifying Compliance positions. F-1 OPT is typically the entry point for recent graduates, while TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible categories. H-1B and EB pathways support longer-term work authorization for experienced professionals.
What qualifications and experience does Newrez expect for Compliance roles?
Newrez Compliance roles in mortgage banking generally require familiarity with BSA, AML, RESPA, TRID, or fair lending regulations depending on the position. A bachelor's degree in finance, law, or a related field is standard, and professional certifications like CRCM or CAMS strengthen your profile. Candidates with prior experience in CFPB-regulated environments or mortgage servicer compliance programs are particularly competitive.
How do I apply for Compliance jobs at Newrez?
You can find and filter Newrez Compliance openings that explicitly support visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles by employer and visa type so you're not applying blindly. Once you identify a match, apply directly through Newrez's careers portal and tailor your application to the specific regulatory subfunction, whether BSA operations, mortgage compliance, or regulatory affairs.
How do I plan my timeline if Newrez files an H-1B petition on my behalf?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in March for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, your employer needs to file before your OPT expires, and USCIS's cap-gap provision protects your status if your OPT expires between April and September 30 while your petition is pending. Coordinating your job offer timeline with Newrez's HR team several months before the registration window opens reduces last-minute complications.
