Tailor credentials to mortgage sales standards
Newrez operates in the residential mortgage space, so framing your background around loan origination, financial product sales, or client relationship management in regulated industries strengthens your application well before the interview stage.
Confirm NMLS licensing requirements early
Many Sales roles in mortgage banking require a Nationwide Multistate Licensing System registration. Research which licenses apply to the specific Newrez role before applying, since sponsorship timelines and your visa status can affect when you're eligible to sit for licensing exams.
Target roles aligned with your visa category
Newrez has sponsored H-1B, TN, and OPT candidates for Sales positions. If you're on F-1 OPT, prioritize applying with enough runway before your EAD expires so the company can evaluate you and initiate H-1B cap-season filings before your OPT authorization runs out.
Browse open Newrez Sales listings on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Newrez's current Sales openings by visa type so you're only applying to roles where sponsorship has been confirmed, rather than guessing from a generic job board posting.
Address sponsorship directly in the offer stage
Once you reach the offer stage, ask the recruiter to confirm whether the role is eligible for the visa type you need before negotiating compensation. Newrez's HR and legal teams handle immigration filings internally, so clarifying this early prevents delays after an offer is extended.
Understand PERM timing if you need a Green Card path
If long-term authorization matters to you, know that PERM labor certification under EB-2 or EB-3 typically takes one to two years before an I-140 petition can be filed. Raising this conversation during onboarding, not after your first H-1B approval, keeps your timeline realistic.

Does Newrez sponsor H-1B visas for Sales roles?
Yes, Newrez has sponsored H-1B visas for Sales positions. If you're currently on H-1B status or need initial cap-season sponsorship, it's worth confirming with the recruiter at the offer stage which roles are eligible. H-1B transfers for candidates already holding an approved petition are generally more straightforward than new cap filings.
How do I apply for Sales jobs at Newrez?
You can find open Sales roles at Newrez through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters Newrez listings specifically for candidates who need visa sponsorship. When applying, highlight experience in financial product sales, client acquisition, or mortgage origination, and be upfront about your work authorization status so recruiters can assess sponsorship eligibility early.
Which visa types does Newrez commonly use for Sales positions?
Newrez has a history of sponsoring H-1B, TN, EB-2, EB-3, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT candidates for Sales roles. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, with H-1B sponsorship possible once a full-time offer is in place and cap-season timing aligns.
What qualifications does Newrez expect for Sales roles?
Newrez typically looks for candidates with experience in financial services sales, mortgage lending, or B2B client management. A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is standard for roles that may require H-1B sponsorship, since the specialty occupation standard requires a degree-to-job-duty nexus. NMLS licensing eligibility is an additional factor for loan officer positions.
How do I plan my timeline if I need sponsorship for a Newrez Sales role?
If you're on F-1 OPT, apply at least six months before your EAD expires so Newrez has time to extend an offer and file an H-1B petition before the April 1 cap-season deadline. H-1B cap filings require USCIS registration in March, with employment start dates no earlier than October 1. Building this calendar into your job search prevents gaps in work authorization.
