Align your resume to client-facing engineering roles
Optomi staffs engineers directly with technology clients, so your resume needs to reflect the stack and project types those clients hire for. Tailor your experience to match specific technologies, not just job titles, before you apply.
Verify your degree supports specialty occupation classification
USCIS requires that your degree field directly relates to the engineering role offered. A general IT degree won't reliably support a specialized software or systems engineering position. Confirm the match before your employer files the H-1B petition.
Target Optomi during the H-1B cap registration window
H-1B registrations open in March for an October 1 start date. Staffing firms like Optomi need an active client placement to file, so secure your role and confirm the client engagement before that window opens.
Clarify who controls the LCA for your placement
Because Optomi places engineers at client sites, the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL must reflect the actual worksite location and prevailing wage. Confirm whether your day-to-day location differs from Optomi's registered office before the petition is submitted.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Engineering roles at Optomi
Optomi posts engineering positions that vary by client, technology stack, and location. Use Migrate Mate to filter for visa-sponsoring roles at Optomi specifically, so you're applying to openings where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than negotiating it after the fact.

Find Engineering at Optomi JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Optomi sponsor H-1B visas for Engineers?
Yes, Optomi sponsors H-1B visas for Engineering roles. As a technology staffing firm, they file H-1B petitions tied to active client placements, so sponsorship is contingent on securing a confirmed engagement. The role must qualify as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, which typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related engineering field.
How do I apply for Engineering jobs at Optomi?
You can apply through Optomi's careers page or through Migrate Mate, which lists Optomi's visa-sponsoring Engineering openings in one place. When applying, be upfront about your visa status and work authorization timeline. Optomi's recruiters match candidates to active client needs, so clearly stating your availability date and sponsorship requirements speeds up the process.
Which visa types does Optomi commonly use for Engineering roles?
Optomi works with several visa categories for Engineering positions, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, TN, and employment-based Green Cards through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. F-1 OPT and CPT are common entry points for recent graduates, while H-1B and Green Card sponsorship typically follow after a candidate is established with a long-term client placement.
What qualifications does Optomi expect for sponsored Engineering roles?
Optomi's Engineering placements are driven by client demand, so requirements vary by engagement. Most roles call for a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with specific technologies matters as much as the degree, since USCIS requires the educational background to directly correspond to the specialty occupation being sponsored.
How do I plan my timeline if Optomi is sponsoring my H-1B?
H-1B cap-subject petitions have an October 1 start date, with USCIS registration opening in March. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm that your OPT expiration date allows you to bridge to October 1, or whether a STEM OPT extension is needed. Optomi must have an active client placement confirmed before filing, so lock in your role well ahead of the registration period.
