About Orb:
We're a team that cares deeply about the work, the people we do it with, and the customers we do it for. Everyone at Orb has real ownership over their work, direct access to customers, and a voice in how the company grows.
We're at a stage where the decisions you make today show up in the product tomorrow. The problems are genuinely interesting and you'll be surrounded by people who are thoughtful, ambitious, and fun to work with.
For SF Bay Area and NYC residents, we've built a hybrid work culture where we are in office 3 days a week. For remote roles, we ask you to join us in person once a quarter. Our values, customer centricity, minutes matter, run with it, and attention to detail shape how we work and grow as a team.
About the role:
As an early engineer on Orb's core product team, you'll help build the technical foundations of a critical product that needs to be reliable and accurate at scale. You'll work closely with our customers to understand pain points in their business processes and help incorporate those insights into our product roadmap. Our customers rely on Orb to transform an inherently complex domain (billing, from data ingestion to subscription management and revenue recognition) into an efficient, powerful, and easy-to-use experience.
You'll be expected to ship real work fast, using AI coding tools as a force multiplier from day one.
In this role you will:
- Own your changes end-to-end across the full stack, ensuring value is delivered to customers before considering a feature shipped
- Use AI tools (Claude Code, Graphite, etc.) as a core part of your workflow to design, build, and iterate quickly
- Learn from and contribute to a highly skilled team
- Collaborate cross-functionally (PM, design, sales, customer success) to shape strategy and deliver value
About you:
- New grad or early-career engineer (0–2 years) with strong full-stack fundamentals
- Comfortable using AI coding tools and eager to push the limits of what they can do
- Enthusiastic about working on a broad range of technical challenges across the stack
- Strong attention to detail with deep user empathy, in visual UX, API design, and everything in between
- Excited to engage directly with customers to shape the Orb product
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate (with support from Orb)
Benefits:
- Excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance
- One Medical membership
- Unlimited PTO plus an additional week off between Christmas and New Year’s
- 401k plan
- 16-week paid parental leave with equity vesting
- Commuter stipend
- Catered lunches in the office
- Annual learning & development stipend
- Meaningful equity in the form of stock options

How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Orb Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles that align with Orb's core product
Orb's product is deeply technical, billing APIs, usage-based pricing infrastructure, and developer tooling. Engineering and product roles are your strongest bet for visa sponsorship. Tailor your application to show hands-on experience with these systems.
Understand that smaller tech companies sponsor selectively
At a focused technology company like Orb, sponsorship decisions are often made on a role-by-role basis. Demonstrating that your skills are difficult to source domestically strengthens your case significantly when the hiring team evaluates sponsorship.
Time your application around H-1B cap season
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship at Orb, align your job search with the annual H-1B lottery window, typically opening in March. Starting conversations with Orb's recruiting team in January or February gives you the best chance of being included.
Research Orb's engineering stack before applying
Orb operates in the developer infrastructure space, so familiarity with its technical environment matters. Candidates who can speak specifically to billing systems, API design, or data pipelines stand out and are more likely to justify the sponsorship investment.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsorship opportunities at companies like Orb
Searching broadly across job boards wastes time on employers who won't sponsor. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors in the technology sector so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your applications where they'll actually lead somewhere.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Orb sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Orb sponsors H-1B visas. The company operates in the technology and software sector, where H-1B sponsorship is standard practice for roles requiring specialized technical skills. Sponsorship at a focused company like Orb tends to be tied to specific hiring needs, so the strongest candidates are those whose expertise directly matches an open role.
Which visa types does Orb support for international candidates?
Orb supports H-1B visa sponsorship and also works with F-1 students through both OPT and CPT programs. This makes Orb accessible to a range of international candidates, from recent graduates completing degree requirements to experienced professionals already authorized to work in the United States and looking to transition to long-term H-1B status.
Which roles or departments at Orb are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Given Orb's focus on billing infrastructure and developer tooling, engineering roles are the most natural fit for sponsorship. Software engineers, backend developers, and technical product managers with relevant fintech or API experience are the profiles most likely to result in a sponsorship offer. Non-technical roles may have more limited sponsorship availability at a company of this size.
How do I approach the application process at Orb as an international candidate?
Be transparent about your visa status early in the process. Orb's recruiting team needs to assess sponsorship feasibility before moving you through multiple interview rounds. Come prepared to demonstrate that your technical background is a strong match for the role, and if you're on F-1 OPT or CPT, clarify your authorization dates so the team can plan accordingly.
How do I find open roles at Orb that are open to visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find roles at companies with a verified H-1B sponsorship track record, including Orb. Rather than applying broadly and discovering late that a company won't sponsor, Migrate Mate lets you filter by visa type and sponsorship history so your efforts go toward employers who have actually filed on behalf of international workers before.
