Align your credentials to cybersecurity program contexts
Palo Alto Networks evaluates Program Development Managers on their ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in technical, fast-moving environments. Frame your resume around security product launches, platform integrations, or partner program builds rather than generic project delivery.
Target roles that map to active product lines
Program Development Manager openings at Palo Alto Networks often cluster around Cortex, Prisma, and SASE initiatives. Applying to roles tied to these platforms signals business context awareness and increases your fit score during recruiter screening.
Verify your E-Verify enrollment status before applying
Palo Alto Networks participates in E-Verify, which affects your work authorization timeline. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your EAD start date aligns with any projected offer date so there's no gap between authorization and your first day.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Palo Alto Networks sponsors across several categories including H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT. Use Migrate Mate to filter Program Development Manager listings by the visa type relevant to your situation, so you're only spending time on roles where your status is already supported.
Prepare for the H-1B cap timeline before your offer
If you need H-1B sponsorship and aren't currently in H-1B status, the annual cap registration window opens in March for an October 1 start. Structure your job search so any offer and I-129 filing can be timed against that window, not discovered after.
Negotiate role scope to strengthen specialty occupation classification
H-1B approval for Program Development Manager roles depends on demonstrating a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. During offer negotiation, clarify whether the role is anchored to a technical discipline like computer science or systems engineering, since blended general management scopes face more USCIS scrutiny.

Find Program Development Manager at Palo Alto Networks JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Palo Alto Networks sponsor H-1B visas for Program Development Managers?
Yes, Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B visas for Program Development Manager roles. The company has a dedicated immigration team and works with outside counsel to handle I-129 filings. Because the H-1B is subject to an annual cap and lottery, timing your application cycle around the March registration window is critical if you're not already in H-1B status.
Which visa types does Palo Alto Networks commonly sponsor for Program Development Manager roles?
Palo Alto Networks sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for Program Development Managers, and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for candidates already in the U.S. on student visas. Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 as a faster alternative to the H-1B, since it has no lottery and a dedicated allocation that has never been fully used.
How do I apply for Program Development Manager jobs at Palo Alto Networks?
Applications go through Palo Alto Networks' careers portal, where roles are listed by business unit and location. You can also find open Program Development Manager positions filtered by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces only roles where your specific visa category is supported. Tailor your application to the product line the role sits within, whether that's Cortex, Prisma, or SASE.
What qualifications does Palo Alto Networks expect for Program Development Manager roles?
Palo Alto Networks typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, combined with experience managing cross-functional programs in a software or cybersecurity environment. Familiarity with channel partner programs, go-to-market operations, or product enablement strengthens your profile. For H-1B purposes, having a degree in a field directly tied to the role's technical scope matters beyond the credential itself.
How do I plan the timeline for visa sponsorship when targeting Palo Alto Networks?
Timeline depends on your current status. F-1 OPT candidates need to account for the 60-day grace period and cap-gap provisions if bridging to H-1B. E-3 and TN holders can switch employers more quickly since neither visa requires USCIS petition approval before starting work. For PERM-based Green Card sponsorship, expect the employer-initiated labor certification process to begin well after your first year in role, with DOL adjudication adding additional time before USCIS filing.
