Frame your portfolio around program ownership
Slalom's Program Development Managers are expected to lead client-facing engagements end to end. Document programs you've built or scaled, not just contributed to. Quantify scope, stakeholder complexity, and outcomes before your first interview.
Distinguish your visa type upfront
Slalom sponsors multiple visa categories, and the right pathway depends on your nationality, current status, and timeline. If you're on F-1 OPT, flag your STEM extension eligibility early so the recruiting team can align your start date with any cap-gap coverage.
Target Slalom's industry verticals strategically
Slalom operates through local market offices aligned to sectors like technology, healthcare, and financial services. Research which verticals are actively hiring in your target city before applying, since Program Development Manager demand is uneven across markets.
Request clarity on the LCA filing timeline
Once you receive an offer, ask HR when they plan to file the Labor Condition Application with DOL. The LCA must be certified before USCIS can process your H-1B petition, and delays at this stage can push your start date back by weeks.
Prepare credentials for specialty occupation review
USCIS scrutinizes H-1B petitions for consulting roles closely. Ensure your degree is in a field directly related to program management or the client domain you'll support. A credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency strengthens your petition if your degree is from outside the U.S.
Use Migrate Mate to surface live openings
Program Development Manager roles at Slalom open and close quickly across markets. Use Migrate Mate to browse current listings filtered by visa sponsorship type so you're applying to roles actively open to candidates with your immigration status.

Find Program Development Manager at Slalom JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Slalom sponsor H-1B visas for Program Development Managers?
Yes, Slalom sponsors H-1B visas for Program Development Managers. Because consulting roles receive heightened USCIS scrutiny under the specialty occupation standard, your offer letter and petition should clearly connect your specific degree field to the technical or strategic demands of the role. Working with Slalom's immigration counsel early in the process helps structure the petition correctly.
Which visa types are commonly used for Program Development Manager roles at Slalom?
Slalom sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT visas, as well as employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3. The right visa depends on your nationality and current status. Australian citizens often pursue the E-3 as a faster alternative to the H-1B, while Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify under the TN category.
What qualifications and experience does Slalom expect for Program Development Manager roles?
Slalom typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field, combined with demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-workstream programs in a consulting or client-services environment. PMP certification or equivalent credentials can strengthen your application. Experience working across cross-functional teams on client-facing engagements carries significant weight during screening.
How do I apply for Program Development Manager jobs at Slalom?
You can browse open Program Development Manager roles on Slalom's careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship type so you only see roles open to candidates with your status. Apply directly through the job posting and be explicit about your visa type in the recruiter screening call. Slalom recruits through local market offices, so targeting the city where you want to work improves your chances.
How do I plan my timeline when Slalom sponsors my visa for a Program Development Manager role?
Timeline depends heavily on which visa category applies to you. H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October start, so if you receive an offer in late spring you may need to bridge on OPT or cap-gap status. E-3 and TN visas can be processed at a U.S. consulate in weeks. Confirm the target filing window with Slalom's HR team before accepting an offer to avoid gaps in work authorization.
