INTRODUCTION
Patreon is a media and community platform where over 300,000 creators give their biggest fans access to exclusive work and experiences. We offer creators a variety of ways to engage with their fans and build a lasting business including: paid memberships, free memberships, community chats, live video, and selling to fans directly with one-time purchases. Ultimately our goal is simple: fund the creative class. And we're leaders in that space, with:
$10 billion+ generated by creators since Patreon's inception
100 million+ free memberships for fans who may not be ready to pay just yet, and
* 25 million+ paid memberships on Patreon today.
We're continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator platform with the best team in the creator economy and are looking for a Scaled Program Manager (Contract) to support our mission. This role is based in New York or San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Scaled Creator team is part of Creator Success and exists for one reason: to help every small and medium sized creator on Patreon feel supported, and grow their business on Patreon. We're a small team managing over 300,000 creators, so everything we do is high touch at scale. We work across everything from scaled communications to 1:1 gold glove relationship management, meeting every creator where they are in their journey.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Scaled Program Manager (Contract) to own the programming layer for the top of the Mid-Market creator portfolio. This is a new role built for someone who wants to design a playbook and series of programs from scratch. You'll build and run scaled, higher-touch programs for top mid-market creators, serving as a touchpoint for ~600 creators. You'll design email series, run office hours, publish newsletters, and build 1:many programming touchpoints that feel personal at scale. And when a creator in your cohort needs more (i.e. a growth conversation, a product walkthrough, a real human in their corner) you'll know when to step in.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5 or more years of experience in creator success, partnerships, community management, or a related creator-economy role, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience building or running scaled programs, lifecycle email campaigns, or creator programming
Written communication skills demonstrated at scale
Fluency with CRM and outreach tools (Salesforce, Airtable, or equivalent) and the ability to use data signals to prioritize work across a large creator cohort
A track record of building repeatable processes and playbooks
Able to define your own structure in an early-stage role - this program doesn't exist yet, and you'll be building the approach from the ground up
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Active or former creator yourself
Experience at a creator platform, MCN, talent management firm, or creator-focused startup
We hire talented and passionate people from different backgrounds because workplace diversity and inclusion is critical to our ability to serve creators worldwide. If you're excited about a role but your past experience doesn't match with every bullet point outlined above, we strongly encourage you to apply anyway. If you're a creator at heart, are energized by our mission, and share our company values, we'd love to hear from you.
ABOUT PATREON

Win Together | We grow as individuals. We win as a team.
Patreon is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We provide employment opportunities without regard to age, race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other protected class. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the interview process, please let us know via email at accommodations@patreon.
Patreon offers a competitive benefits package including and not limited to salary, equity plans, healthcare, flexible time off, company holidays and recharge days, commuter benefits, lifestyle stipends, learning and development stipends, patronage, parental leave, and 401k plan with matching.
Patreon operates under a hybrid work model, where employees based in office locations are expected to come into the office two days per week, excluding sick time and paid leave. The goal of this policy is to be intentional about the in-person time we spend together to strengthen the feeling of community at Patreon. Candidates hired into remote-eligible roles are not expected to meet the same requirements.
At Patreon, we believe in fair and transparent pay. In compliance with New York and California pay transparency laws, we are sharing the expected salary range for this role. The posted salary range is dependent on the location and the level. This range may encompass multiple levels within the role’s job family. The final offer will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, competencies, and geographic location, aligning with the appropriate job level within Patreon’s leveling framework. For remote employees located outside CA and NY, salary may vary based on location and local market conditions.
Patreon reserves the right to modify or update compensation and benefits at any time.

Target engineering and product roles first
Patreon's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical roles. Software engineers, product managers, and data professionals are the most likely candidates for H-1B and Green Card sponsorship, focus your application efforts on these departments.
Understand Patreon's dual-pathway sponsorship
Patreon sponsors both H-1B visas and permanent resident pathways. If you're thinking long-term, ask your recruiter early about whether the role has a history of Green Card sponsorship, it signals stronger employer commitment to your future in the U.S.
Align your background with the creator economy
Patreon operates at the intersection of technology and the creative sector. Demonstrating familiarity with marketplace platforms, subscription infrastructure, or creator-facing products can sharpen your application and differentiate you from other technical candidates.
Filter for verified sponsors before applying
Not every open role at Patreon will lead to sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on positions where international candidates have genuinely been hired before.
Time your application around H-1B cap deadlines
Patreon's H-1B sponsorship follows the annual cap cycle, with employers submitting registrations in March. Start conversations with Patreon recruiters by January or February to ensure your application is ready well before the registration window opens.
Prepare for a structured technical interview process
As a technology company with a strong track record of sponsoring international hires, Patreon runs competitive hiring processes. Demonstrating deep technical expertise early in the process signals you're worth the investment a sponsorship commitment requires.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Patreon sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Patreon sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles. Sponsorship is most common in technical positions such as software engineering, data, and product. If you receive an offer, confirm sponsorship availability with your recruiter early, since not every open role is automatically eligible and timelines are tied to the annual H-1B cap cycle.
What types of visas does Patreon sponsor?
Patreon sponsors H-1B visas for temporary work authorization and also supports Green Card pathways through employment-based immigrant visa categories, including EB-2 and EB-3. The combination of both nonimmigrant and immigrant sponsorship makes Patreon a stronger long-term option than employers who only support H-1B without a clear permanent residency pathway.
Which roles at Patreon are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Patreon tends to follow technical hiring. Software engineering, data science, product management, and infrastructure roles are the most consistent areas where international candidates have been sponsored. Business, operations, and support roles are less frequently sponsored, though exceptions exist for highly specialized positions with no local candidate pool.
How do I find currently open visa-sponsored jobs at Patreon?
Patreon's sponsored roles aren't always labeled explicitly on job listings. Migrate Mate tracks real sponsorship history by employer so you can browse Patreon's open positions filtered by verified sponsorship activity, rather than guessing which roles might qualify. This saves time and helps you apply with more confidence that your candidacy will be considered.
How do I approach Patreon's hiring process as an international applicant?
Be upfront about your visa status early in the process, Patreon has an active sponsorship track record, so recruiters are familiar with the process. Focus your application on technical roles where sponsorship is most common, prepare for a structured interview process, and ask specifically whether your target role has been sponsored in the past. Timing matters: if you need H-1B sponsorship, connect with the team well before the spring registration window.
