Align your profile to fintech partnerships experience
Plaid's Partnerships team focuses on financial data infrastructure, so framing your background around API integrations, financial services partnerships, or developer ecosystem growth signals direct relevance. Hiring managers here prioritize domain fit over generic BD credentials.
Request LCA details early in the offer stage
Once you reach the offer stage, ask whether the Labor Condition Application will reference your specific work location. Plaid operates across multiple offices and remote arrangements, and LCA geography affects your prevailing wage level under DOL rules.
Use Migrate Mate to target Plaid's open roles
Plaid posts Partnerships Manager roles across experience levels and verticals. Use Migrate Mate to filter for open positions specifically at Plaid that match your visa category, so you're applying to roles actively seeking sponsored candidates.
Prepare a business impact narrative for interviews
Plaid's partnership interviews tend to probe revenue attribution and ecosystem expansion metrics. Document specific deal values, partner activation rates, or revenue influenced so your answers go beyond process descriptions into demonstrable commercial outcomes.
Understand H-1B cap timing if you're on OPT
If you're on F-1 OPT, the H-1B cap lottery runs once a year with a March registration window and an October 1 start date. If your OPT expires before October 1, STEM OPT extension eligibility determines whether you can bridge the gap without a gap in work authorization.

Find Partnerships Manager at Plaid JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Plaid sponsor H-1B visas for Partnerships Managers?
Yes, Plaid sponsors H-1B visas for Partnerships Manager roles. Partnerships positions at Plaid typically qualify as specialty occupations given their requirements for business development expertise in financial technology. If you're pursuing H-1B sponsorship, confirm with the recruiter early in the process so Plaid's legal team can align the filing timeline with your target start date.
Which visa types does Plaid commonly sponsor for Partnerships Manager roles?
Plaid sponsors H-1B, TN, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories for Partnerships Manager positions. TN visas apply specifically to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. F-1 OPT and CPT are typically used by recent graduates already in the hiring pipeline before transitioning to an employer-sponsored category.
How do I apply for Partnerships Manager jobs at Plaid?
You can browse and apply for Partnerships Manager roles at Plaid through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for visa-sponsoring employers and surfaces Plaid's open positions. When applying, tailor your materials to Plaid's fintech partnership context, highlighting experience with API-driven ecosystems, financial services clients, or developer platform growth. Flag your visa situation early in the recruiter screen to avoid delays later.
What qualifications does Plaid look for in Partnerships Manager candidates?
Plaid's Partnerships Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, along with direct experience managing strategic partnerships in fintech, SaaS, or financial services. Familiarity with Plaid's product surface, including its data connectivity and payment APIs, is a strong differentiator. Candidates who can demonstrate measurable partnership outcomes, like activated integrations or revenue attributed to partnerships, stand out in the process.
How do I manage the timeline between a job offer and visa filing at Plaid?
The timeline depends on your current status and the visa category involved. For H-1B transfers from an existing employer, Plaid can file on your behalf and you can start work once USCIS receives the petition. For new H-1B cap cases, filings open in March for an October 1 start. For TN visas, processing can happen at the port of entry for Canadian citizens, which compresses the timeline significantly.
