Frame your fintech network as a credential
Plaid evaluates Partnership Development candidates on their existing relationships with banks, fintechs, or API-driven platforms. Document specific integrations or deals you've closed before applying, not after. That evidence strengthens both your candidacy and your specialty occupation case.
Target Plaid's partner-facing teams directly
Plaid organizes business development around verticals like banking, payments, and wealth. Applying to a role aligned with your industry background signals fit and accelerates recruiter interest, which matters when your OPT or grace period timeline is tight.
Clarify your visa type before the offer stage
Plaid sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT, but each pathway has different employer steps and USCIS filing timelines. Raise your status during the offer conversation, not after you sign, so the team can route your case to their immigration counsel without delay.
Align your degree field to the role description
USCIS requires a direct relationship between your degree and the role for H-1B specialty occupation approval. A business, economics, or computer science degree maps cleanly to Partnership Development at a technology company. If your degree is unrelated, gather supplemental evidence of equivalent experience early.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by sponsorship type
Plaid posts Partnership Development Manager openings across multiple locations and seniority levels. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles at Plaid that match your visa category, so you're applying to positions the company has already committed to sponsoring.
Verify the LCA wage tier before negotiating your salary
DOL requires Plaid to file a Labor Condition Application certifying your salary meets the prevailing wage for your job title and work location. Research the wage level for Partnership Development roles in the office city you're targeting before you enter salary discussions.

Find Partnership Development Manager at Plaid JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Plaid sponsor H-1B visas for Partnership Development Managers?
Yes, Plaid sponsors H-1B visas for Partnership Development Manager roles. The company works with immigration counsel to handle the petition process, including the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL. If you're currently on OPT or another status, raise your sponsorship needs during the offer stage so Plaid can plan the filing timeline around the H-1B cap deadlines.
How do I apply for Partnership Development Manager jobs at Plaid?
You can browse and apply for Partnership Development Manager positions at Plaid directly through their careers page or on Migrate Mate, which filters open roles by visa sponsorship type. Tailor your application to highlight fintech partnerships, API-ecosystem experience, or business development wins relevant to Plaid's open finance network. Early outreach to Plaid's recruiting team often shortens response times.
Which visa types does Plaid commonly use for Partnership Development Manager roles?
Plaid sponsors H-1B, EB-2, EB-3, TN, F-1 OPT, and F-1 CPT for this function. H-1B is the most common path for full-time hires, while OPT and CPT cover candidates still on student status. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. The right visa depends on your citizenship, current status, and career stage.
What qualifications does Plaid expect for a sponsored Partnership Development Manager?
Plaid typically looks for a bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a technology-related field, combined with direct experience managing strategic partnerships or business development in a fintech or API-driven environment. For H-1B purposes, USCIS requires your degree to connect directly to the role's duties, so experience closing integration deals with financial institutions or software platforms strengthens both your application and your petition.
How do I time my application around H-1B filing deadlines?
USCIS opens H-1B registration in early March for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT, your employer must file the petition before your OPT expires, and a timely-filed petition can extend your work authorization during adjudication. Targeting a Plaid offer by January or February gives the company enough runway to prepare your Labor Condition Application and complete the registration process without a gap in your status.
