About Origin By Prelude
Origin is building the next generation of endpoint security for the AI era. Across the enterprise, AI agents are quickly becoming part of everyday workflows. They’re driving meaningful productivity gains, but they’re also creating a new and largely uncharted risk surface: agents operating on endpoints with powerful permissions, opaque behavior, and limited visibility or control. Origin is developing endpoint capabilities purpose-built for this shift, giving organizations the tools to safely grant AI agents the permissions they need while maintaining control, oversight, and trust. We’re backed by Sequoia Capital, Brightmind Partners, IA Ventures, and others, and built by a deeply technical team of Windows internals researchers, product engineers, and offensive operations specialists.
Role
Origin is seeking a Sales / Business Development Representative (SDR / BDR) who thrives when challenged, combines competitive energy with focus, builds meaningful connections, and is motivated by measurable results. This role takes the first steps in creating a high-quality sales pipeline and generating opportunities that drive Origin’s growth. You’ll research, reach out, and engage with prospects across the market, building strong connections and fuelling the sales engine. This role rewards focus, persistence, and the ability to turn effort into results.
Responsibilities
Drive Opportunity Generation:
- Reach out to prospects via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels to spark interest.
- Research and connect with potential clients, turning initial contacts into qualified opportunities.
- Leverage referrals from team members, early customers, and your own network to uncover new opportunities.
- Share relevant insights, content, or research to initiate meaningful conversations with prospects.
Own and Manage Your Pipeline:
- Take full ownership of your pipeline, prioritizing high-potential prospects and accounts.
- Track results, follow up strategically, and iterate your approach to maximize impact.
- Manage inbound leads efficiently, qualifying and routing opportunities to keep the sales engine moving.
- Demonstrate competitive drive, curiosity, and resilience in every interaction.
Create Opportunities and Build Processes:
- Engage prospects in thoughtful conversations that build relationships and generate opportunities.
- Capture trends, objections, and gaps in the market, sharing insights with leadership to refine messaging and strategy.
- Contribute ideas for new ways to identify and engage prospects, helping scale Origin’s outreach efforts.
- Contribute to building playbooks, templates, and frameworks for the team.
Skills And Experience
- 2 - 3 Years of Sales Experience: BDR, SDR, retail, B2B, or other competitive roles that demonstrate results.
- Competitive Drive & Grit: Ambitious, persistent, and motivated to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Self-Starter Mindset: Takes ownership of outreach, follow-ups, and pipeline without needing a playbook.
- Strong Communication: Builds rapport quickly, asks the right questions, and conveys value clearly.
- Creative & Resourceful: Finds new ways to generate leads and open doors.
- Collaborative with Leadership: Works closely with the CEO and early team, sharing insights and contributing to strategy.
- Hungry for Growth: Eager to develop skills, advance your career, and make an impact at Origin.

Job Roles at Prelude Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Prelude Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation standards
Prelude sponsors H-1B visas, which require specialty occupation roles tied to a specific degree field. Focus your application on technical or software-related positions where your degree directly supports the job requirements to strengthen your case.
Lead with your technical qualifications upfront
In the technology and software industry, hiring decisions move fast. Make your degree field and relevant technical skills immediately visible on your resume so Prelude's recruiters can assess your H-1B eligibility without having to dig for it.
Prepare to address sponsorship early in conversations
Prelude is a smaller tech company, so hiring managers may be less familiar with H-1B logistics than larger firms. Come prepared with a brief, confident explanation of the process to reduce hesitation and show you understand what sponsorship involves.
Research Prelude's product and connect your work to their mission
Prelude builds software for recruiting and hiring teams. Demonstrating that your background in technology or software aligns with their specific product domain makes you a stronger candidate and signals genuine interest beyond just sponsorship.
Apply during active hiring cycles to improve your sponsorship odds
Timing matters at smaller tech companies with selective hiring. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and identify when Prelude has open roles that match your visa and skills profile.
Anticipate a thorough interview process for sponsored roles
Tech companies like Prelude typically run structured interview loops for software and product roles. Prepare for multiple rounds covering technical skills, cultural fit, and role-specific competencies, as sponsored hires often face additional internal review before an offer is extended.

Does Prelude sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Prelude sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles in its technology and software operations. The H-1B is the primary visa type Prelude has used to hire international talent. Sponsored roles are typically in technical or software-related functions that meet the specialty occupation requirements USCIS applies to H-1B petitions.
What types of roles at Prelude are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Prelude is concentrated in technical and software roles, consistent with its product focus in the recruiting technology space. Positions in software engineering, product development, and related technical functions are the most common candidates for H-1B sponsorship, as these roles align most naturally with specialty occupation standards.
How do I know if Prelude is actively sponsoring visas right now?
Sponsorship activity at smaller tech companies can shift depending on hiring needs and headcount. The most reliable way to confirm current activity is to check Prelude's open roles directly and filter for positions that historically receive sponsorship. Migrate Mate tracks verified sponsorship data so you can see Prelude's history and browse their active listings in one place.
How do I approach the application process at Prelude as a visa-requiring candidate?
Apply to roles where your degree and technical background directly match the position requirements, since H-1B eligibility depends on that connection. Be transparent about your visa needs early in the process. Prelude's team is experienced with sponsored hires, but smaller companies appreciate candidates who can explain the process clearly and reduce uncertainty on the employer's side.
How do I find open visa-sponsored jobs at Prelude?
Search for Prelude's current openings through Migrate Mate, which filters job listings by verified sponsorship history rather than relying on employer self-reporting. This lets you quickly identify whether Prelude has active roles that match your background and confirm their H-1B sponsorship track record before investing time in an application.
