Align your credentials to U.S. licensing standards
Quanta's energy infrastructure projects often require or prefer engineers working toward a Professional Engineer license. Having your EIT credential or an NCEES-recognized degree evaluation in hand before applying signals you're ready to operate in a U.S. regulatory environment.
Target field-heavy roles not just office positions
Quanta staffs Civil Engineers across active construction sites and project yards, not only corporate offices. Roles tied to transmission, substation, or pipeline construction are where sponsorship activity tends to cluster, so filter your search toward those project types.
Ask recruiters about LCA filing timelines upfront
Before an offer is extended, confirm whether the role has an active Labor Condition Application filed with DOL. For project-based roles at Quanta, LCA coverage can be site-specific, and delays in filing can push your start date back significantly.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Civil Engineer roles
Quanta posts Civil Engineer positions across multiple subsidiaries and project locations, which makes tracking openings manually unreliable. Migrate Mate aggregates sponsorship-verified roles so you can find and filter Quanta positions that are open to visa candidates.
Understand how TN status fits energy sector timelines
If you're a Canadian or Mexican citizen with a civil engineering degree, TN status can be obtained at a port of entry without waiting on USCIS processing. For Quanta's project-driven hiring, this speed advantage can matter when a role has a specific mobilization date.
Factor OPT cap-gap timing into your application window
If you're on F-1 OPT and targeting a full-time Civil Engineer role at Quanta, time your application so an H-1B petition can be filed before your OPT expires. USCIS's cap-gap provision protects your status during the gap, but only if the petition is filed on time.

Find Civil Engineer at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group sponsor H-1B visas for Civil Engineers?
Yes, Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group has sponsored H-1B visas for Civil Engineers. Given the project-based nature of energy infrastructure work, sponsorship decisions are often tied to specific roles and locations rather than a blanket company policy. Engaging directly with Quanta's recruiting team early in the process helps clarify whether a particular opening is open to H-1B candidates.
How do I apply for Civil Engineer jobs at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group?
Applications go through Quanta's careers portal, where roles are listed by subsidiary and project region. Because Quanta operates across dozens of business units in the energy sector, the same Civil Engineer title can appear under different entities. Migrate Mate consolidates these listings so you can identify which openings are sponsorship-eligible before applying directly through Quanta's site.
Which visa types are commonly used for Civil Engineer roles at Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group?
H-1B is the primary long-term work visa for Civil Engineers at Quanta. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for recent graduates transitioning into full-time roles, and TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican citizens whose civil engineering credentials meet DOL's TN occupation criteria. The right visa type depends on your current status and how quickly the role needs to be filled.
What qualifications does Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group expect for Civil Engineer roles?
Most Civil Engineer positions at Quanta require a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program. For field-based roles supporting transmission or substation projects, relevant project experience is weighted heavily alongside the degree. Progress toward a Professional Engineer license is frequently listed as preferred, particularly for roles carrying design responsibility.
How do I time my job search to avoid gaps in work authorization?
If you're on F-1 OPT, apply to Quanta roles at least three to four months before your OPT end date so there's enough runway for an H-1B petition to be filed before the April 1 cap-subject filing window. USCIS's cap-gap provision extends your status automatically if the petition is timely filed, but it requires an active OPT period at the time of filing.
