Align your portfolio to RLHF pipelines
Scale AI's AI Software Developer work centers on reinforcement learning from human feedback and data annotation tooling. Before applying, rebuild your portfolio around projects that demonstrate experience with feedback loops, model evaluation, or data quality systems at scale.
Target teams working on model infrastructure
Scale AI hires AI Software Developers across its Generative AI, RLHF, and enterprise data platform teams. Research which product lines are actively hiring and tailor your application to the specific pipeline challenges that team faces, not the company broadly.
Understand how TN and E-3 fit this role
Canadian and Mexican nationals in software engineering roles may qualify for TN status, and Australian citizens can pursue the E-3 visa. Both bypass the H-1B lottery entirely and can be processed faster. Confirm your nationality-based eligibility before the offer stage so sponsorship discussions move quickly.
Request H-1B premium processing during negotiation
USCIS premium processing cuts the standard H-1B adjudication window significantly. When negotiating your offer at Scale AI, confirm whether the company covers premium processing fees, as this directly affects how quickly you can start in a legal work status.
Use Migrate Mate to find open AI Software Developer roles
Roles with confirmed visa sponsorship at companies like Scale AI fill quickly and aren't always flagged clearly on general job boards. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for AI Software Developer positions at sponsoring employers and track new openings before they close.

Find AI Software Developer at Scale AI JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Scale AI sponsor H-1B visas for AI Software Developers?
Yes, Scale AI sponsors H-1B visas for AI Software Developer roles. The company has an established pattern of supporting work visa filings for technical positions, including H-1B petitions filed with USCIS. If you're in the H-1B lottery cycle, confirm your registration timeline with the recruiting team early in the process so your start date aligns with the October 1 cap-subject start window.
How do I apply for AI Software Developer jobs at Scale AI?
Applications go through Scale AI's careers portal. Most AI Software Developer roles require a technical screen, a take-home or live coding assessment focused on ML systems or data pipelines, and a series of technical and cross-functional interviews. Mention your visa sponsorship needs early in the recruiter screen so the team can confirm support before you invest time in later rounds.
Which visa types does Scale AI commonly sponsor for AI Software Developer roles?
Scale AI sponsors H-1B, E-3, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for AI Software Developer positions, and supports Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term employees. Australian citizens should ask specifically about the E-3 option, which bypasses the H-1B lottery. Canadian and Mexican nationals in software roles may also qualify for TN status, which can be processed faster.
What qualifications does Scale AI expect for AI Software Developer roles?
Scale AI's AI Software Developer positions typically require strong proficiency in Python, experience working with large language models or ML pipelines, and familiarity with data annotation or evaluation systems. Roles involving RLHF infrastructure often require experience with feedback collection systems or model benchmarking. A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a closely related field is standard, and it directly supports the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B sponsorship.
How do I find AI Software Developer jobs at Scale AI that offer visa sponsorship?
Not every job listing explicitly states which visa types a company will support, which makes it hard to know where to focus your search. Migrate Mate filters specifically for roles with verified visa sponsorship, so you can browse AI Software Developer openings at Scale AI and similar companies without sorting through listings that don't apply to your situation.
