Tailor your resume to retail support metrics
Skechers Customer Support roles often require experience with order management, returns processing, and wholesale account coordination. Quantify your impact in these areas before applying, vague customer service experience won't stand out against candidates with direct footwear or apparel background.
Target roles across multiple Skechers channels
Skechers staffs Customer Support across direct-to-consumer, wholesale, and e-commerce divisions. Each channel has different hiring velocity, e-commerce and wholesale support roles tend to open more frequently and have clearer specialty occupation arguments for H-1B purposes.
Confirm employer sponsorship intent before final rounds
Ask the recruiter directly whether the role is approved for sponsorship during the second interview stage, not after an offer. Skechers processes sponsorship internally, and confirming early saves you from late-stage surprises when USCIS filing deadlines are already close.
Build your E-3 petition materials before your offer
If you're an Australian citizen, the E-3 path requires your employer to file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before you can attend your consular interview. Preparing your degree credentials, position description, and prevailing wage documentation in advance shortens the gap between offer and start date.
Use Migrate Mate to identify active Skechers openings
Skechers posts Customer Support roles across multiple job boards at different times. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Skechers positions that explicitly support visa sponsorship, so you're only investing time in applications where sponsorship is already confirmed.
Prepare for PERM if targeting permanent residence
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship for Customer Support roles requires Skechers to complete PERM recruitment through the DOL, which involves documented outreach and a defined prevailing wage. Understanding this process before you negotiate your offer helps you set realistic timelines with your hiring manager.

Does Skechers sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Support roles?
Yes, Skechers has sponsored H-1B visas for Customer Support positions. The key requirement is that the role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards, meaning it normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Customer Support roles tied to wholesale account management, supply chain coordination, or technical product support tend to have a stronger specialty occupation argument than general call center positions.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at Skechers?
Applications go through Skechers' careers portal or job boards where their openings are listed. Before applying, confirm the specific role supports visa sponsorship, as not every Customer Support position will qualify. Migrate Mate filters Skechers Customer Support listings by sponsorship eligibility, which helps you avoid wasting applications on roles where sponsorship isn't available.
Which visa types does Skechers commonly use for Customer Support positions?
Skechers has used H-1B, E-3, and employment-based Green Card pathways (EB-2 and EB-3) for Customer Support hires. The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens and is often faster to process than H-1B. The H-1B applies broadly but requires winning the annual lottery. EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship is a longer-term path that Skechers initiates after a period of employment.
What qualifications does Skechers expect for sponsored Customer Support roles?
Skechers typically looks for candidates with a relevant bachelor's degree and hands-on experience in customer-facing operations, particularly within retail, footwear, or consumer goods. For sponsored roles, a degree in business, supply chain, or a related field strengthens the specialty occupation case with USCIS. Experience with order management systems, B2B account support, or e-commerce platforms is frequently listed in their job descriptions.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take if I receive an offer from Skechers?
Timeline depends on the visa type. E-3 applicants can move from offer to start date in roughly four to six weeks if the Labor Condition Application clears with the DOL and a consular appointment is available. H-1B sponsorship is constrained by the October 1 fiscal year start and lottery selection in March. EB-2 and EB-3 PERM filings with the DOL typically take one to two years before a Green Card petition can be filed.
