Align your HR credentials to retail scale
Skechers operates hundreds of retail locations alongside its corporate headquarters. Emphasizing experience managing high-volume hiring, multi-site HR compliance, or workforce planning in consumer goods or apparel positions you as a match for their operational priorities.
Verify your degree supports specialty occupation
USCIS requires H-1B eligibility to rest on a directly related bachelor's degree. For HR Manager roles, degrees in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Industrial Relations are the strongest fit. A general studies degree may draw a Request for Evidence.
Target Skechers openings across multiple locations
Skechers posts Human Resources Manager roles across corporate, regional, and distribution center locations. Applying to multiple active openings increases your chances, since sponsorship decisions often depend on the specific hiring manager and business unit budget.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Raise your visa requirement with the recruiter after a first-round interview, not at the offer stage. Skechers HR teams are familiar with E-3 and H-1B processes, and early transparency avoids offer withdrawals caused by late-stage sponsorship surprises.
Understand PERM timelines for permanent sponsorship
If your goal is a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, DOL's PERM labor certification process can take a year or more. Ask your Skechers recruiter early whether the role is eligible for permanent sponsorship, not just temporary visa support.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles efficiently
Sponsorship-ready HR Manager openings at Skechers can be hard to identify from general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter Skechers postings by visa type so you're only spending time on roles where sponsorship is confirmed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Skechers sponsor H-1B visas for Human Resources Managers?
Yes, Skechers has sponsored H-1B visas for Human Resources Managers. The role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS criteria, particularly when the position requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Because H-1B approvals depend on the specific job duties and degree alignment, working with an immigration attorney before applying strengthens your petition.
Which visa types are commonly used for Human Resources Manager roles at Skechers?
Skechers has sponsored H-1B, E-3 visa, and employment-based Green Card categories including EB-2 and EB-3 for HR roles. Australian citizens are eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is faster to obtain than the H-1B. The right visa type depends on your nationality, your degree, and whether the role is intended as a long-term permanent position.
What qualifications and experience does Skechers expect for Human Resources Manager roles?
Skechers typically looks for HR professionals with experience supporting large, distributed workforces, retail or consumer goods backgrounds being a particular advantage. Familiarity with talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR compliance at scale is valued. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business is standard, and SHRM certification or equivalent credentials strengthen your profile considerably.
How do I apply for Human Resources Manager jobs at Skechers?
You can browse and apply for Human Resources Manager roles at Skechers through Migrate Mate, which filters open positions by visa sponsorship eligibility so you only see roles where international candidates are considered. Skechers posts HR roles across its corporate headquarters in Manhattan Beach, regional offices, and distribution centers, so checking listings regularly across all locations gives you the best chance of finding an active opening.
How do I plan my timeline if Skechers offers me an H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B petitions for cap-subject employees must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, meaning your offer and all paperwork need to be in place before the March registration window. If you miss the lottery, Skechers may be able to use cap-exempt options or bridge your status through other means. Starting conversations with your recruiter at least six months before your current work authorization expires gives both sides enough runway.
