Align Your Resume to Plant Operations Language
Sofidel America's Operations roles sit inside a manufacturing and distribution environment. Tailor your resume to reflect supply chain execution, production scheduling, or warehouse management rather than generic operations terms. USCIS scrutinizes job duty descriptions during H-1B adjudication, so precision matters.
Research Open Roles Across Multiple U.S. Facilities
Sofidel operates tissue manufacturing and distribution sites across several U.S. states. Targeting a specific plant location in your application signals genuine intent and helps hiring managers assess fit faster. Use Migrate Mate to filter open Operations roles at Sofidel America by location and sponsorship type.
Understand the LCA Before Your Offer Letter Arrives
For H-1B sponsorship, your employer files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before submitting anything to USCIS. Knowing this step exists helps you ask the right questions during negotiations and avoids confusion when your start date depends on LCA certification timelines.
Prepare for PERM If You're Pursuing Permanent Residency
Sofidel America has sponsored both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Operations staff. PERM requires your employer to run a full recruitment process documenting that no qualified U.S. worker was available. Starting this conversation early in your tenure gives you the best chance of a smooth filing.
Document Any Industry Certifications Before Applying
Operations roles in distribution and manufacturing often require certifications in areas like Lean, Six Sigma, or forklift safety. Gathering these credentials before you apply strengthens both your candidacy and your H-1B specialty occupation argument, since USCIS evaluates whether the role requires specialized knowledge.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope During the Offer Stage
Some employers sponsor H-1B transfers but not new cap-subject petitions. During offer negotiations, ask directly whether Sofidel America will cover H-1B cap filing, premium processing, and Green Card sponsorship down the line. Getting clarity early prevents costly surprises after you've accepted.

Find Operations at Sofidel America JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Sofidel America sponsor H-1B visas for Operations roles?
Yes, Sofidel America has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for Operations positions. The company operates manufacturing and distribution facilities across the U.S., and its Operations hiring reflects a willingness to support international candidates. If you're on an existing H-1B, a transfer is often the fastest path. New cap-subject petitions require entering the annual lottery, which opens each March.
Which visa types are commonly used for Operations jobs at Sofidel America?
H-1B is the most common nonimmigrant visa for Operations roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, or operations management. For permanent residency, Sofidel America has filed under both EB-2 and EB-3 categories, depending on the role's education requirements and the candidate's qualifications.
What qualifications or experience does Sofidel America expect for Operations roles?
Sofidel America typically looks for candidates with backgrounds in manufacturing operations, distribution logistics, or supply chain management. A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field strengthens your H-1B specialty occupation case. Hands-on experience with production planning, inventory control, or process improvement in a consumer goods or tissue products environment is a strong differentiator.
How do I apply for Operations jobs at Sofidel America?
You can browse and apply for Operations roles at Sofidel America through Migrate Mate, which lists open positions at the company filtered by visa sponsorship type. Before applying, review the specific job description carefully to confirm the role aligns with your degree field, since USCIS requires that H-1B specialty occupation positions have a clear connection between the job duties and your academic background.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for an Operations role at Sofidel America?
For H-1B, your employer files after the lottery selection in late March, with an October 1 start date for cap-subject cases. If you need to start sooner, premium processing through USCIS can reduce the adjudication window to around 15 business days. Green Card timelines through PERM and I-140 vary significantly depending on your country of birth and priority date, so starting that process early in your employment is advisable.
