Target engineering and technical roles
SPX Flow's sponsorship activity centers on technical disciplines tied to its fluid handling and process equipment business. Focus your search on mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering roles where specialty occupation status is clearest and sponsorship is most commonly extended.
Leverage OPT and CPT as an entry point
SPX Flow supports F-1 OPT and CPT candidates, giving international students a practical way to build a track record before pursuing H-1B sponsorship. Starting on OPT strengthens your case when the company considers longer-term visa support.
Understand the H-1B cap timeline
If you're targeting H-1B sponsorship at SPX Flow, align your job search with the April lottery window. Applications must be submitted months in advance, so securing an offer by early Q1 is critical for cap-subject petitions.
Emphasize specialty occupation alignment
Manufacturing companies face H-1B scrutiny around specialty occupation definitions. Clearly frame your role as requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher, USCIS looks closely at job duties in this industry, so your resume and offer letter language both matter.
Research open roles before applying
SPX Flow's sponsorship-eligible openings aren't always easy to identify at a glance. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on positions where international candidates have a genuine path to authorization.
Prepare for a structured hiring process
As a global manufacturer with regulated operations, SPX Flow typically runs multi-stage technical interviews. Arriving prepared with examples of hands-on engineering or process work signals you can contribute immediately, which matters when a company is weighing the cost of sponsorship.
