Target clinical and licensed counselor roles first
STARS Behavioral Health Group's sponsorship activity is concentrated in direct-care and clinical positions. Roles requiring licensure in mental health, social work, or behavioral health are your strongest entry points for Green Card sponsorship consideration.
Position yourself for government-funded program roles
STARS operates heavily within government and public sector contracts. Emphasize experience with publicly funded behavioral health programs, county contracts, or government compliance frameworks, these signal direct fit with the roles they hire for most.
Be explicit about your sponsorship needs early
STARS is not an employer that sponsors high volumes across the board, so transparency matters. Raise your visa status in the first recruiter call so both sides can confirm feasibility before investing time in the interview process.
Use a platform that filters by real sponsorship history
Not every behavioral health employer is open to sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history, helping you focus on STARS and similar employers who have actually sponsored candidates like you.

Find STARS Behavioral Health Group JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does STARS Behavioral Health Group sponsor H-1B visas?
Based on available sponsorship data, STARS Behavioral Health Group has not been an active H-1B sponsor. Their sponsorship activity has focused on permanent residency through the EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories, as well as F-1 OPT and CPT for student workers. If H-1B is your primary need, clarify directly with their HR team, as sponsorship policies can evolve.
What visa types does STARS Behavioral Health Group sponsor?
STARS Behavioral Health Group sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards, along with F-1 OPT and CPT for eligible candidates. They also sponsor TN visas, which is relevant for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional roles. This mix suggests a willingness to support both early-career international students and candidates pursuing permanent residency.
Which roles at STARS Behavioral Health Group are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at STARS is most commonly associated with licensed clinical and direct-care positions in behavioral health, roles such as licensed clinical social workers, mental health counselors, case managers, and rehabilitation specialists. Because STARS operates within government-funded programs, roles tied to county or state contracts tend to have more structured hiring pipelines, which can support sponsorship decisions.
How do I apply to STARS Behavioral Health Group if I need visa sponsorship?
Start by identifying open roles that match your clinical background and licensure level. Migrate Mate lists STARS Behavioral Health Group alongside other verified sponsors, so you can confirm sponsorship history before applying. When you reach the recruiter stage, be upfront about your visa status and the category you're targeting, whether that's OPT, TN, or a Green Card pathway, so the conversation stays grounded from the start.
How long does the sponsorship process take at STARS Behavioral Health Group?
For F-1 OPT and TN, authorization is relatively quick, often a matter of weeks once the offer is confirmed. Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 is a longer commitment, typically taking one to several years depending on your country of birth, priority date, and the PERM labor certification timeline. Ask STARS HR whether they use outside immigration counsel and whether they cover associated legal fees.
