Tailor your credentials to STV's project portfolio
STV's Senior Project Management roles typically span transportation, transit, and civil infrastructure. Frame your PMP certification and prior experience around large-scale public sector or infrastructure projects, not general consulting, to align with their core delivery work.
Verify your degree field supports H-1B eligibility
Senior Project Management positions must qualify as specialty occupations for H-1B purposes. A degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a directly related field strengthens the petition. A general business degree alone may invite USCIS scrutiny on specialty occupation grounds.
Target STV's publicly funded project offices first
STV staffs Senior Project Managers close to active contracts, particularly in cities with major transit or highway programs. Identifying which regional offices are actively hiring against funded project contracts puts you in front of teams with immediate headcount and sponsorship budget.
Ask about LCA prevailing wage level during offer discussions
DOL's prevailing wage determination sets the floor for your H-1B compensation. Confirm the wage level STV files at and how it maps to their internal Senior Project Management salary bands before accepting an offer, so there are no surprises at filing.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active STV openings requiring sponsorship
Senior Project Management roles at STV are posted across multiple channels and close quickly. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for STV openings that list visa sponsorship, so you focus applications where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing from a generic job board.
Plan your H-1B timeline around STV's project award cycle
Consulting firms like STV often initiate hiring after contract awards, which don't align neatly with the April H-1B cap filing window. Discuss with your hiring manager whether a cap-exempt filing route applies or whether an October 1 start date needs to be built into your offer.

Find Senior Project Management at STV JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does STV sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Project Managements?
Yes, STV sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Project Management roles. The company operates across infrastructure and public sector consulting, functions where specialty occupation status is well established. Candidates with engineering or construction management degrees and relevant project delivery experience are well positioned for sponsorship. STV has supported both initial H-1B cap filings and extensions for this role type.
How do I apply for Senior Project Management jobs at STV?
Apply directly through STV's careers portal or use Migrate Mate to find their open Senior Project Management roles filtered by visa sponsorship. Tailor your resume to STV's infrastructure and transit project work, highlight PMP or equivalent credentials, and address sponsorship needs early in your outreach to recruiting so both parties align before the interview process advances.
Which visa types does STV commonly use for Senior Project Management hires?
STV sponsors H-1B visas most commonly for Senior Project Management positions. For candidates on F-1 status, OPT and CPT are supported during the transition period. TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering or management classifications. For longer-term hires, STV has pursued EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways through the PERM labor certification process.
What qualifications does STV expect for Senior Project Management roles?
STV typically looks for a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline, along with substantial years of experience managing complex infrastructure or public sector projects. A PMP certification is frequently listed as preferred or required. Experience with DOT, transit agency, or federally funded project delivery is a strong differentiator given STV's core client base.
How do I plan my timeline when pursuing H-1B sponsorship at STV?
The H-1B cap filing window opens in April for an October 1 start date, so backing out from a target start date is essential. If you're on OPT, confirm your expiration date against that timeline and discuss a cap-gap extension with your employer if needed. STV's project-driven hiring can mean roles open outside that window, so clarify early whether a cap-exempt path applies to your specific position.
